A 2 bed Barn conversion in a unique quiet location
Owl Barn is a tastefully converted, cosy barn, 5 miles from Petersfield market town, high up in the heart of northeast Hampshire. The location is very quiet with stunning views west over acres of arable fields. Great walking, biking and pubs are all on the doorstep or relax with a book by the pond or in front of the wood burning stove. Local attractions include the South Downs National Park, Winchester Cathedral and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Owl Barn is your perfect retreat and get away. Owl Barn is a self-contained 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom converted barn with its own entrance. There is car parking for 2 cars and a large garden – perfect for children, dogs and BBQs. The pond was once a claypit. The decked area is for all the residents of the barns and is a perfect spot for an early evening drink but take care because the planks get slippery and you could end up amongst the moorhens! The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, electric hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk is provided. The kitchen table, perfect for long lunches and dinners, is beautifully lit with views over the neighbouring fields including magnificent sunsets. The beamed living area boasts a wood burning stove, smart TV and sofa seating. The bedrooms are on the first floor and comprise the master bedroom which overlooks the garden and field with an ensuite bath and toilet. The second bedroom has twin beds. There is a shower and toilet downstairs. Owl Barn is situated in the beautiful countryside of Froxfield, Hampshire which is five miles from the market town of Petersfield. Surrounded by country walks and great pubs, local attractions also include the Watercress Line, the South Downs National Park, Winchester Cathedral, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays. There are multiple fantastic walks and cycle rides from the front door. Alternatively it is only a short drive to Queen Elizabeth Country Park, the South Downs and Winchester or you could make a daytrip to London or the Isle of Wight. Petersfield town with its many shops, restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets is just a 10 minute drive away. There are markets every Wednesday and Saturday in The Square.
