Spacious bedroom with very comfortable queen size bed, share spotless bathroom with shower/tub (towels / soap), washer / dryer, sitting and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, patio overlooking landscaped gazebo courtyard, free parking, elevator and the additional security of a locked building. Interaction with my guests is entirely up to their preference. Will happily advise on local attractions and services; there are so many to enjoy! Don't miss world-class Chanticleer Gardens 10 minutes away, the Wharton Esherick House within 25 minutes, or a stroll around beautifully manicured estates in the neighborhood. Shop at the famous King of Prussia luxury mall (and surrounding stores, like Crate and Barrel, The Container Store, Costco) within 15 minutes. And an IMAX theatre is next to it! Also Ikea is within 20 minutes, and the wonderful Suburban Square outdoor mall (with a farmers market and Trader Joe's next to it) within 15 minutes in another direction. And you can always catch the train around the corner directly into Philadelphia! CHARMING / FUN / CONVENIENT ENJOY THE CHARMING town center of Wayne! Located on a main road only a mile from the highway for convenience, with beautifully manicured residential streets. Enjoy great restaurants and unique shops, coffee houses, and movie theatre. Or walk / bike along a quiet, paved, tree-lined path that runs for several miles that is a favorite of the locals. There are also several parks, playgrounds, ballfields within walking distance. HAVE FUN!: Aside from the many Philadelphia attractions (a short train ride away or 25 minutes by highway), visit nearby Chanticleer world-class gardens, Jenkins Arboretum, Wayne and Mainline Art Centers, and Peoples Light & Theatre. For local nightlife, there is a variety of pubs, indie / mainstream / IMAX movie theaters, house concerts), and events hosted at the many libraries, local colleges, schools and town center. For the 4th of July, professional fireworks a few blocks away, a local parade that passes right in front of the building for Memorial Day, there is a summer jazz music festival in the heart of Wayne, the famous Devon Horse Show and Fair is in the spring, as well as the traditional Radnor Hunt. SHOP!: Close by is arguably the largest luxury shopping mall in the U.S. (called "King of Prussia"). Surrounded by even more stores like The Container Store, Pier One, COSTCO, Crate & Barrel, etc.), it is a destination unto itself. Many stay overnight just to shop, relax and enjoy the area, particularly around the holidays. Ikea is 20 minutes away. Fans of Apple products can take free classes at either of the 2 Apple stores within 15 minutes. MAXIMUM CONVENIENCE: A large variety of restaurants, from take out and casual to gourmet, are within walking distance: coffee shops / burgers / pizza / hotdogs / salads / bakeries / frozen yogurt or ice cream , plus Spanish / Mexican / Italian / French / Japanese / Chinese / Greek restaurants and pubs. Shopping within walking distance includes: large supermarket, dry cleaner, drugstores, TJMaxx / HomeGoods / BedBathBeyond, computer supply, upscale consignment (clothing, home goods and furniture), vitamin / supplement, clothing. Many banks, doctors, dentists, acupuncturist, massage therapists, full-featured gym with swimming pool, library, post office, houses of worship a movie theatre and a park. Walk or drive to several of the many local colleges. Tennis courts and ball fields at many nearby parks and schools. EASE OF ACCESS: Only 1 mile from a major highway (476, the "Blue Route") that leads to either the Philadelphia airport / Philadelphia or nearby Delaware or New Jersey. OR you can take the train (that is 1 block from the building) to / from the Philadelphia Airport. Or just get on Rt 30 (Lancaster Ave) in front of the building and keep following it west until you run into Lancaster, with its own attractions, like the beautiful Amish farm country and farmers markets (I'll fill you in on the rest when you are here!). ACCESS: Guest has access to the entire place, with the exception of a third of the main room area for host's use, and most of the closets. TRANSPORTATION: the SEPTA train is 1 block away for direct access to the heart of Philadelphia, where you can also transfer to the airport line right within the main ("30th street") station. Amtrak is @1/2 mile away. Main highways: the "Blue Route" (476) is 1 mile down the road, which connects to I-76 at the first exit going north. From there you can go east into Philadelphia or west toward Lancaster. FOOD SHOPPING: A large supermarket ("Giant") is a block away, one Farmer's Market is within five minutes Drive, another within 15 minutes, and a 3rd that is outdoors (from spring through fall) only 10 minutes away. For those who favor organic foods, Mom's Organic Market and Whole Foods are about 10 minutes away. Costco and Trader Joe's are both within 15 minutes. SAFETY: There are working smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher in the kitchen, and having an entrance door within a building gives an extra measure of security. The area overall is very safe.
