Tangnefedd is a simple, comfortable and unique cabin within easy reach of beautiful coastline, walking and outdoor activities. You can enjoy use of the garden set out for the cabin guests. The market towns of Aberystwyth and Machynlleth are within easy reach by road. Your hosts live on the smallholding where Tangnefedd is located, comprising open fields, new woodland, fruit and vegetable production. We are often around to answer any questions during the day as well as evenings. Tangnefedd Cabin has an open plan living space. There is a characterful King size bed, book shelves and clothes storage – all handmade onsite using home grown Silver Birch. There are cooking facilities for self catering including a gas stove, slow cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge with small freezer compartment. The kitchenette includes washing up facilities, tea towels and sundries are provided. A waterless toilet with wash-hand basin is built onto the cabin accessed via the porch. Separately, a short distance from the cabin, a shower and flushing w.c. with wash-hand basin are provided for guests' use only. The vibe is calm and peaceful, suiting those who are seeking to get away and relax, enjoy nearby natural spaces and possibly an adventure in the Snowdonia National Park. Cadair Idris awaits... Please note that bookings are temporarily limited by the Covid 19 regulations. The website which clarifies who can book a holiday in Wales can be found (Website hidden by Airbnb) The Cabin is self-contained, and you have sole use of it during your stay. In addition there is plenty of space for you to enjoy around the smallholding, comprising gardens, fields with fabulous views looking out over Cardigan Bay or towards the hills inland. We also have an area which is being rewilded as a nature conservation area with a bit of feral fruit and nut growing. You may find the jams provided with your breakfast include jostaberry jelly from this same woodland! Your hosts are around most of the time, when not at work. One of us mostly works at home anyway. We aim to make your stay as pleasant as possible. :) Llandre is a small village a few miles north of Aberystwyth, a very popular seaside and university town. There's the Arts Centre and a Saturday Market. The nearest beach is around 2 miles away and the coast offers a variety of days from swimming and surfing, cliff walks to boat tours. Ynys Hir RSPB reserve is a few miles north. Llandre is accessible by bus. Borth by train and bus. Breakfast is included in the price of your stay. Items are put in the kitchenette for you to prepare what you like. There is a booklet you can refer to to find quick answers to things like how to use the microwave, and where the hot water switch is, etc.
