Video Walkthrough- (Website hidden by Airbnb) Visiting Medicine Hat and need short-term accommodation? Welcome to "723 On Seventh". Video Walkthrough- (Website hidden by Airbnb) With over a century of history in this property, we are certain you will feel and enjoy its’ character and comfort. Built in 1912 and nicely refreshed in 2017, this is a quaint 1-1/2 story home providing over 900 square feet of living space. Just bring your luggage as well as any groceries you may want and enjoy your fully furnished stay. Sleeps up to 4 people, queen size bed in the one bedroom and a queen size hide-a-bed in the living room. The artwork and hand-painted furniture throughout the home is original work by the owner, Deborah, and is available for purchase. So if you see something you like just let her know. The kitchen floor is slightly elevated from the living room floor, approximately 2-1/2”, with an angled threshold ramp, so please watch your step. Due to the age of the house (105 years) there was no forced-air furnace ductwork to the upstairs. Over time one duct was added at the top of the stairs providing heated air to the bedroom and bathroom. A portable electric heater is provided to quickly take off any chill in the rooms on those cold winter days. The air conditioning is limited to a window mounted unit in the bedroom. Bedroom – This home has one bedroom situated upstairs with queen size bed and portable electric heater for those chilly winter nights if needed. An window style air conditioning unit is installed in the bedroom to insure for cool sleeping during those hot August nights. Bathroom – The one bathroom in the home is also situated upstairs. It features an original, 60-inch cast iron claw foot tub. We have added a hand-held shower faucet for easy hair washing and rinsing off after a nice long soak. As the tub is nestled under a low sloped ceiling there is no provision for a stand-up shower. Kitchen – The kitchen is equipped with the basic essentials: fridge, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee machine (bring your favourite Keurig coffee), cookware, dishes and utensils, (no dishwasher). Dining Table – A decorative painted, 42” round table in the spacious kitchen/dining area comfortably seats four. Hand-painted by Deborah (yep she paints on furniture too :-). Living Room – Queen sized hide-a-bed sofa, armchair, 32” Samsung Smart TV (no cable channel/programming service provided), Hi-Speed Wifi. Laundry Room – It’s a spacious room equipped with an automatic washing machine and heavy-duty clothes dryer as well as iron and ironing board. Entry is 2-1/2” angled ramp, watch your step down. Parking – 'on-street’ parking directly in front of the house. Yard Space - there is a small patio with a bistro table, 2 chairs and a propane barbeque situated directly out the back door off the kitchen. Guests are required to pay a small fee for propane if wanting to use the bbq. A larger green space to the side of the house is also accessible to our guests. The back half of the yard is not included for guest use however MAY be available for camper or RV parking at an additional charge, please inquire if interested. We want your stay to be comfortable and enjoyable. Please give your comments after your stay and any recommendations that you believe would help us to improve on things. Guests have full run of the house accept for the basement. The yard on the side of the house is also available to our guests. The back half of the yard is for the owners use and not accessible for guests, however guests may inquire is to the availability to park a vehicle, camper, RV, etc. Although this IS NOT our principle residence we (or other help) are only a phone call away should our guests have a question or need help with something. We strongly believe in guest privacy and do not make any appearances unless requested or required. The downside for us is that we rarely get to meet the awesome folks that come to stay. Kingsway Avenue becomes South Railway Avenue which leads into downtown Medicine Hat. You will find pizza, restaurants, pubs and other businesses located on both these avenues, all within a few minutes walk from the property. The area is an older, established part of Medicine Hat with a mix of single homes family dating back to the early 1900's as well some multi-family residences. Kingsway Avenue, South Railway Avenue and Allowance Avenue host a variety of commercial enterprises. These avenues all interconnect to create the South Flats triangle. "723 On Seventh" is located just off of Kingsway Ave which is a main commercial avenue providing easy access to public transit stops and other points in the city.
