Located less than a half mile to downtown and Auburn State Recreation Area, the "Hop House" is sure to impress. The space is a private 1 bedroom/1 bathroom with its own entrance. Built in 1942, the Hop House has all the charm you need but all the modern amentities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. From a local rotating craft beer in the afternoon to a morning hike along the American River, this AirBnB will have you coming back. In addition to the main essentials, the Hop House includes a mini fridge, extra blankets, pour over coffee maker, electric water kettle, local roasted coffee, 2 local craft beers (per stay), Tazo tea and board games. Netflix and Disney+ are available on the TV and is accessed through the Roku. Please use the "Hop House" account when watching Netflix or Disney+. This is a private space, which doesn't have access to the main house. If guests wish to do laundry, please text or call Nathan and we will likely be able to accomodate you if we are home. Guests have access to one private parking space in front of the Hop House. Other street parking is available, if necessary. We live on the property. Nathan also works from home. We are usually available to answer any questions or give reccomendations. However, please note that guests will not have access to the main house. Local trail maps and a list of our favorite restaurants/activities will be available upon arriving. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any more reccomendations. Some of our favorite nearby trails include Stagecoach, Manzanita, Western States, Olive Orchard, and Flood. The Hop House is less than a half mile walk to Downtown Auburn and less then a mile walk to OldTown Auburn. Both Downtown and Old Town are great places to grab drink and food. There are a variety of trailheads into Auburn State Recreation area you can walk to from the Hop House. They are anywhere from a quarter mile to a mile away from the home. Uber and Lyft are present, but are less readily available than some bigger cities. The home is about a half mile from I-80, which allows easy access up to North Lake Tahoe (1.5 hour drive) or down to Sacramento (40 minute drive). Guest should note that this is an older house and the owners do live onsite. As such, the walls are thinner meaning minor noises can sometimes be heard throughout the house (i.e. steps, creaks, water running through pipes, etc.). If you are sensitive to noise, please consider brining earbuds and/or booking elsewhere. Thank you!
