Just a 10 minute drive from the market town of Aulnay, the gite has a wealth of facilities including WiFi, bikes, private heated pool & a secure walled courtyard. with no shared areas, guests have full private use of the entire property & grounds. Our cottage is part of the remnants of a very old chateau. Occupied by an aristocratic family until the 1700s, they had to flee to Britain in order to avoid the guillotine during the French revolution. Although the property has the character you'd expect from a 400 year old building, its stylish interiors now offer a fully renovated space with modern cons to include free WiFi. We are one of the few properties that can be used exclusively by guests without having to share any parts with other renters or the owners. It is perfectly placed in a tranquil rural setting, nothing to be heard apart from tweeting birds and a toot from the baker who delivers bread and pastries to the hamlet daily. But likewise, we are just a ten minute drive from a busy bustling market town, and less than an hours drive from the coast, including the chic streets of La Rochelle. It really has the best of everything. This is an unshared property, so you would have full exclusive use of the property, its walled courtyard, orchard and private heated pool. The cottage is located in a tiny hamlet around a 10 minute drive from the old market town of Aulnay. It's in a very rural location, with a backdrop of fields of sunflowers and vineyards. The lanes are quiet with very little traffic making it perfectly placed for leisurely bikes rides and strolls. A car is essential to visit Le Beau Fief. Please note that we are only able to accept bookings from Friday to Friday.
