Our cosy family home is only a minute's walk from the worlds 5th most scenic road (the beautiful Glens of Antrim Coast Road), a gorgeous blue flag beach, and a plantation castle. We have a mod-conned double bedroom, bathroom with shower, lounge, dining room, kitchen and utility room available. The house is a lovely mixture of the new and old, with an Irish 1930s cottage attached to a modern extension with all all the mod cons of a modern family home. The views around the gardens of the house are stunning, with the famous Antrim hills keeping us company with their mystical charms and breathtaking beauty. We have a downstairs bedroom with a double bed and downstairs bathroom with a shower. Guests are welcome to use our cosy living room, which has a wood burning stove for use in colder weather. In addition to their downstairs bedroom, guests will have access to our living room, kitchen, dining room, downstairs bathroom, utility room and outside gardens. Satellite TV and wifi is available. The only rooms off limits are the hosts' bedrooms. We'll be very happy to interact with our guests whenever they need any assistance, local information or if they simply want a bit of friendly company. Katie and I will always have our phones with us and are happy to be contacted. We are lucky enough to live in a lovely coastal village situated in a designated area of outstanding beauty, and just a few metres from one of the most beautiful drives in the world - The Glens of Antrim Coast Road. Our family house is perfect for those who want to explore this part of the world, as it's only a 1 minute walk from a stunning sandy beach (overlooking a splendid vista of the highlands and Islands of Scotland), a plantation castle/ hotel and a food and gift shop. If you love hiking and photography, the views from the Sallagh Braes, which form part of the famous Ulster Way, are absolutely breathtaking. The Braes surround the back of the village like an amphitheatre, and are easily accessible by foot or bike. There is also a bus stop a short walk from the house that regularly takes tourists up and down the Coast road (or the 'Shore' as it's called locally). There's also one of Northern Irelands best country parks, Carnfunnock Country Park, and what is possibly one of the most scenic 18 hole Golf course you'll ever see, Cairndhu Golf Club, both walking distance from the house. There is a bus service which runs to Larne, the nearest town, several times daily. From there, guests can travel onwards to Belfast city centre with ease.
