VILLA BARCA is a luxurious vacation resort in the hinterland of the Italian Riviera. Only 20 minutes from the beach resort Alassio, we are situated right between the famous Italian city of Genova and Nice at the Côte d’Azur. High above the valley of the Lerrone River this historic mansion, which was built in the 18th century by a squire and local tax official with connections to the Italian royal family, offers a stunning vista of the Ligurian hills and the Mediterranean sea in the distance. The airport with the best international connection is Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE). The airport is very easy to navigate and car rentals from the terminals are very well organized. The highway A8 is starting right near the airport exit - driving time to Casa Carpe Diem is approx. 90 minutes and only 135km (84 miles). ___________________________________ For guests arriving with a private plane - the closest airport open to IFR and VFR flights is located in Albenga and only 16km (10 miles) from Casa Carpe Diem. We offer pick up service for guests arriving at Albenga airport. ___________________________________ Alassio is the closest train station and only 16km (10 miles) from Casa Carpe Diem. Right next to the train station is a Hertz car rental location (seasonal) - the drive up to Casa Carpe Diem will take about 25 minutes.
