Stunning dog friendly guest house.

Recently refurbished to a very high standard. This guesthouse is located in the grounds of a 17th century thatched cottage. Magnificent unspoilt views including a stream at the bottom of your own private garden. Located In the pretty Saxon village of Sidbury . This individual guest house is within the grounds of a 17th century thatched cottage. It has beautiful countryside views with a private stream at the bottom of your garden. There is parking right outside for two cars. The house is enclosed with a little picket fence. You have a private garden and can sit outside in all weathers in the garden or underneath the veranda,with views of the fields opposite. In the winter cosy up in front of the wood burner.(Wood is not provided but you can buy a bag from me) Downstairs is all open plan this includes a 50 inch Samsung smart tv. Hi speed BT wifi is available throughout. The kitchen has every possible amenity. This includes, washing machine , dishwasher and large fridge freezer. Upstairs you will find a 5ft brass bed, this room is also very large with 3 aspects. A contemporary bathroom with bath and a shower once again everything is new and very tastefully decorated. Sidbury is a very pretty Saxon village and has been featured on "Escape to the country" on many an occasion. The village has a little shop with an excellent butchers. The post office is open once a week. The church of St. Giles is definitely worth a visit with guided tours of the crypt in the summer months. Opposite the church you have the Red Lion pub, run by Rich and his lovely wife Bip. Excellent food, especially when Bip cooks her native curries.Dog friendly with an outside terrace open fire and occasional entertainment. There is a regular bus service into the coastal town of Sidmouth with all its amenities. You have the world famous Jurrasic Coast on your doorstep and this area is famous for its picturesque walks. The area called the Byes is not too far a beautiful dog friendly walk all the way into Sidmouth. Dear Guests I hope you enjoy your stay. A. The peace, the beautiful countryside views and the friendliness of the local people. There is a regular bus service into Sidmouth,Exeter and Honiton. I do state this is dog friendly but would like to add that the garden has a picket fence and this leads to the stream which obviously cannot be fully secured. We have now had a "sleeper style " flood wall built around the patio and I do recommend you read the information in the book as it gives instructions as to what to do in VERY HEAVY rain. I would like to add that flooding is VERY RARE , the rain has come up over the bank 3 times in 6 years..The only thing past guests have done is to move their car further up the drive. What started out as one pet residence has now turned into ,"Colin"my border collie, two cats, Nellie and Nancy and three free roaming chickens very cruelly named as KFC!!!The chickens are free roaming so if you have a concern about your dog please keep it on the lead for the very short walk to your car. There is also a long training lead but your little garden is pretty much secure now we have had the wall built. KFC regularly lay and I will leave these fresh eggs for you arrival breakfast.
