It is ideally situated nearby the city of Aalst, renowned for the Carnaval festivities but also offering a wide range of shopping and cultural activities. Brussels is only 25 km distance away and Ghent is located at 30 km. The house is about 40 km away from the famous bicycle race "Tour of Flandres" that will take place on April 2, 2016. During the year 2014 there are numerous events held in Belgium to to mark the centenary of the First World War and commemorate battle actions and anniversaries on the WW1 battlefields of the Western Front. Our holiday house is the perfect place to take that well earned break alone, with friends, colleagues or family. Large family stays are well suited to our lodge - we adapt to all your needs. Due to its ideal location (only 2 km away from the highway E40 and at a 10 minutes walk from the train station) it is also suitable for business men/women who would like to stay near possible locations of their business appointments. A beautiful garden of 40 acre surrounds our newly renovated property. The house has a spacious living room with a terrace, a totally equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, free wifi and remote satellite TV. Three nicely furnished double rooms with comfortable beds and mattresses assure a good night’s sleep: Our charming Congo room can be found on the ground floor and faces the garden with its lovely 100 year old red and green beech trees. The double-bed is of excellent quality and the room has a private bathroom with a water basin, a bathtub and a toilet. The first floor accommodates the light Brazil room that offers two single beds and the Asia room with one double bed. The two rooms on the first floor share a retro bathroom with a toilet, big bathtub, 2 water basins and a shower. You will find soft comfortable towels to use in the bathroom. We also provide bed linen to make you stay as pleasant as possible. Parking space is available for guests. The given rates apply to renting the entire house. The closest supermarket is ALDI, down the street, just 5 minute stroll. The local train station with direct connection to Central Brussels station was about 1.3 km from the house. It isme only 10 minutes drive to get on E40, main highway connecting Brussels, Ghent, Bruges and sea coast resorts. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. Parking next to the house.
