Woolpack Studio: Stylish Space, Hayfield Villiage.

Woolpack Studio was once the Woolshop in the centre of the village and has been sensitively renovated into a one bedroom apartment. The interior design is simple modern and paired back, graced with original art throughout. The Studio is located in the heart of the village within a minutes reach of 3 gastro pubs, the award winning Italian restaurants 'Collesso" and the'Pack Horse' with their gastronomic delights and hugely popular tasting menu. With direct walking into the National Park. Woolpack Studio is a perfect cozy base for a couple or a single traveller to enjoy the wild charms of the Peak National Park or simply as a base to tour the area and Manchester (40mins drive away). The studio is very reasonably priced, and is located in the heart of the historic village of Hayfield. The building dates back to 1840 and has a round end and as such is an iconic landmark in the villiage. Open plan kitchen /dining /living area Separate small bedroom with full size double bed and a small ensuite shower / toilet. Well behaved non malting dogs are welcome. The studio is a stone's throw to the many pubs , cafes and resturants in the village. You will not ever need to get in your car ! You have direct access into the Peak National Park from the door on foot. There is no outdoor space with the studio, however just a few yard from our door is a secluded spot with benches overlooking a waterfall on the banks of the river Sett, where you can sit and take in the nourishing air and tranquility of the river . Also there is a communal garden opposite the village hall with a waterfall view seating area at the far end . We have lived here for 11 years and it has a buzzing eclectic community . Hayfield also has a thriving community of creatives + artists with two galleries and excellent pubs, resturants and two cafes. Also walk down the Set Valley trail towards New Mills and stumble upon the amazing Set Valley Cafe (get there early at weekends 10 am opening ). The Spa town of Buxton is a 20 min drive and Bakewell /Chatsworth House 45 mins . The great thing about Hayfield is that you can walk directly onto the Kinder Estate and the highest peaks of the National park directly from the village . During Summer times you can sit outside the Royal Hotel or Pack Horse and bask in the evening sun with your favourite tipple and food and watch the sun go down into the hills . Magical! Food is available in The Pack Horse , The Royal Hotel , The George,The Sportsman Inn , Collosso (Italian Bistro /restaurant) There are two Cafes with a two new ones opening soon. A short walk down the Sett Valley Trail will bring you The Set Valley Cafe which is highly recommended with plenty of outdoor seating. All the pubs in Hayfield are Dog friendly. Access into the High Peak National Park and Kinder Reservoir is straight up Kinder Rd out of the Village. As Hayfield is very rural a car is may be a great way to explore. However there are great train links in every direction from Glossop, New Mills ,Buxton or Chinley and the village is a short taxi ride or 4/5mile cycle ride from the stations. Access onto Kinder Scout and the Peak National Park is directly up Kinder Rd from the door of the studio . Parking is within the villiage fee on the roads or paid parking at £3 per day in the Sett Valley car park 2 mins walk from the Studio. We welcome one well behaved Dog . If you want to bring your Dog we charge an additional £10 -one off payment -for the duration of your stay . This is to be left in cash (if possible) at the end your stay and is requested to cover additional deep clean costs.
