Family House with big garden in Hannappes

Welive in Hannappes since last year. When we have guests we visit the family in Belgium (Website hidden by Airbnb) a big garden with trampoline, swing set. You have a BBQ and a pizza-oven near the river. For rainy days there is the big playroom with billiards, ping-pong and table-football. In Aubenton (2,5km) you find a supermarket, a bakery, Café and restaurant La Table de Maya. The village of Hannappes is situated in Champagne-Ardenne near the border of the Aisne-department. An oasis of peace. It's a very quiet place, you can walk for hours without meeting anybody and at night you can count the stars. It's a fantastic region for cycling. The Tiérache is well known for his fortified churches. There is a touristic route. Centuries ago the inhabitants could find shelter in the churches through underground passages from their houses which still exist in Aubenton. The old monastery-now museum- of Saint-Michel-en-Tiérache is worth visiting. It has one of the most beautiful historic organs of France and they even have a festival of old music in June. If you want to visit a city there is Reims(80km) with champagne and cathedral. For the children there is Signy-le-Petit (10km) with a small lake and a sandy beach, horse riding in La Croix de Colas and Auberge Le Lion d'or with a good restaurant. There is also the "centre de la Santé" in case you need a doctor. You can reach us by mail or mobile phone (SMS). On the spot we have neighbours and other people to help when necessary. Some knowledge of French could help. The nearest station is Couvin in Belg, at about 40 km. For travellers by bike that could be an option. By car is Brussels -Namur-Dinant -Philippeville, Couvin and then new highway direction Reims until Rocroi a better option than via Charleroi.
