Brown Bread Cottage - Peak District

We welcome you to Brown Bread Cottage in the middle of the beautiful Peak District National Park. Walking, cycling and mountain biking is available from the door and it is a 20 minute walk from Edale village with it's station, shop, cafes and pubs. Brown Bread cottage has two bedrooms, one twin and one double, a shower room plus an open plan living space including a kitchen (washing machine, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, kettle and toaster), dining area and two sofas plus TV, DVD player and Wii. We welcome families and there are two high chairs, a travel cot, a baby bath and children's cutlery and bowls. There is fibre broadband wifi in the cottage with speeds typically 10-20Mb. If you have any specific requirements, please ask! Guests have access to all of the cottage, a private garden with picnic table and barbecue. Dogs are welcome to take their owners to the gated exercise area that is beside the drive. Please clean up after your dog! We are generally at home in the evenings, and sometimes during the day. We are always contactable by telephone. The cottage is situated in the High Peak area of the Peak District National park with easy access Kinder Scout and the Great Ridge. The area is perfect for walking, mountain and road biking, and general sight seeing. Brown Bread Cottage is on Hope Road between Hope and Edale. There is free parking at the cottage or if you prefer to arrive by train, Edale station (on the picturesque Hope Valley line between Manchester and Sheffield) is 1 mile away. If the train is your preference but you don't fancy the walk, please let us know when you'll be arriving and we might be able to pick you up from the station. We are keen walkers and cyclists and are happy to recommend walks and bike rides (both on and off road) in the local area. We have secure bike storage and a workshop with a work stand, tools and also an outside tap with hose and a boot scraper for cleaning muddy boots, bikes and dogs.
