Art Deco Classic - walking distance to city.
A South Australian heritage building, this upper floor unit in an iconic late 1930's Art Deco building is a delight loved by guests. The apartment contains a modern fully equipped kitchen, a separate studio bed-sit area with a comfortable queen sized bed, a sofa bed, wi-fi internet and smart tv. The full size bathroom has its original tiling and bath & an excellent shower. While it will sleep four people, it is more suited for two. The sofa bed is offered for those who do not wish to share a bed On Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide, this space is very close to the many facilities offered in the delightful area - shops, restaurants, cafes, green parks and much more! It is an easy 30 minute walk into the city and in easy reach of the Adelaide Oval (20 minute walk) and has been a welcome venue for travelers wishing to access local major hospitals. The unit is private and self contained, with access to a shared laundry - with its own dedicated washing machine. While there is no on-site parking the are is serviced by 3 hour and a number of full day free parking spaces. The apartment is in a block of 4 units. The unit of offer is for full use of guests, with shared common areas on the ground floor. Access to another unit is made by passing by this unit's front door. I no longer meet guests upon arrival due to Covid-19. There is a large folder in the unit which provides additional information about the apartment, North Adelaide and the wider area. My co-host, Stephanie and I have provided Airbnb stays in this and another location for many years and are happy to accommodate additional need where we can. We encourage our guests to contact us when we can provide extra assistance. While not far from the vibrant areas of O'Connell Street, North Adelaide, this apartment is very close to a number of heritage listed - and modern - buildings. This is considered a safe area and is frequented by many pedestrians and bicycle riders amidst the local traffic. The tree lined streets are a delight to walk and very close to a number of public transport - including free bus - routes. Just want to eat (and perhaps drink) and then walk home, or visit the city for an extended night life - then this is the place to come home to!. A number of 3 hour (and a limited number of all day) car parks are available in the local street, and many bus routes pass nearby. Search for 'plan my journey Adelaide metro' in your favourite search engine and you will find an app which will give you all the transport information you need. Again, it is an easy walk from the apartment to all sorts of shops and other utilities in North Adelaide, and a pleasant walk to the city. With a 1 hour drive to the Barossa wine and 40 minutes from the McLaren Vale vineyards, this is an excellent location for exploring other parts of South Australia. I'm more than happy to suggest places to visit. Don't forget that Adelaide Zoo hosts Australia's only Chinese Pandas! Please note that this is historic building in the interim heritage list. While this is delightful for many visitors, there are stairs to climb and low balconies. Sorry, space is not suitable for children or people living with disabilities.
