The house also benefits from 2 inglenook fireplaces, dining room for 14, kids playroom and patio. The house is a short stroll to the village pub. Arranged over three floors there are 4 reception rooms; the main sitting room with an attractive inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, the dining room which also has an inglenook fireplace with an open fire and original wood flooring, the snug is currently used as a study/library and has a Chesterfield sofa-bed and pretty brick fireplace. Surrounded by farmland and orchards, the house is situated in an ideal location for those looking to enjoy the idyllic rural walks Kent has to offer with the stunning countryside of the Fairlawne estate, the Roughway, Plaxtol and Shipbourne nearby. The ending point for many ramblers is the Kentish Rifleman pub which is a stones throw from our front door. The neighbouring villages of Plaxtol (The Papermakers) and Shipbourne (The Chaser) also have village pubs serving homemade food with produce from local butchers and suppliers as well as ales from local brewers. There is a village shop/post office in Plaxtol with more comprehensive shopping to be be found in Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks. If you have children to entertain, there are several National Trust options and playgrounds a short drive away, whilst the neighborhood gin distillery (Greensand Ridge) runs gin experiences for the adults to enjoy. The property is located in Dunks Green which is a small hamlet between the villages of Plaxtol and Shipbourne - a one hour car journey from London. The mainline stations of Hildenborough, Borough Green and Tonbridge are all within approximately 4 miles away with frequent fast trains to London.
