ENCLOSED GARDEN within the larger gardens. The marble bathroom has a walk in shower with shower panel and body jets, lots of mains pressure hot water and natural marble tiling. The bathroom also has under floor heating and mini bath. All fresh towels are included for your stay. Up the reclaimed timber cottage staircase is the mezzanine bedroom with skylight views over the garden. The King size bed is a very comfy pocket sprung Relyon with 1700 springs. The bed comes with cotton bed linen and duvet which is included. . Sheets, towels and all bills are of course included in the price.. A lovely rural location; there are tall mature oaks and ash surrounding the area, sheep and chickens, cattle pastures and open fields whilst we are also close to transport links to get you to the beach, the woods, or into town. We are a short walk out of the village and open onto lovely walks into the countryside (including walk to Felbrigg Hall, lake and parkland). I'm happy to help with any local info you need, just reach me through the app. The app has directions to the gate and check in with pics to the barn, call if you get lost but there may be little signal in the road outside. Parking is in the 2 acre landscaped gardens not far from Lobster Pot Barn, just across the lawn through its own private enclosed garden. There is a path if it is wet, which hopefully it won't be for your holidays! There is a small lake and access is down a winding gravel drive into the garden through trees and Rhododendron. You are welcome to enjoy a picnic or barbeque in the gardens. There are paths to explore around the pond which has ducks and moorhens, rare black water shrews. The managed long grass areas host marsh orchids in summer and the margins sport wild mushrooms Blewit and The Prince in autumn. From early evening a barn owl occasionally hunts here, later accompanied by bats, with the distinctive large Daubenton's bats over the pond. The BTO has recorded 7 species of bat in the garden!We have a lovely rural location a short walk from the village which offers your local pub, 24 hour petrol station with shop and off licence, award winning chip shop with restaurant, farm shop with cafe, medieval round tower church, all within walking distance. Or walk the other way for Felbrigg park- national trust Jacobean hall, walled gardens, parkland and lake, the 'Great Wood', stables cafe and restaurant. Cromer for crabs, prom, pier and beach is 5 mins away; excellent shopping in Norwich 25 mins away. To the west of us is the north Norfolk coast with coastal villages tucked away behind the wild marshes and to the east the broads with wide open spaces and unspoilt coastline. We write our own local info. file on attractions like your local Michelin country pub restaurant roasting venison on an open fire and where to find the best beer etc.etc. and are on hand if you would like any local info. Walking: Weavers way passes through the next village, Norfolk coast path through Cromer, also there are lots of lovely routes from the door or a short drive away. Famous golfing on the clifftop in Cromer and Sheringham; swimming from the blue flag beach in Cromer, wave pool in Sheringham, or great gym with sauna/ steam and pool at Bodham; fishing on the many beaches and the village's own fishing lake within walking distance; flying from North Repps grass strip with microlight tuition. There are busses from the village to Cromer, Norwich and the surrounding area-Cromer links with the Coast Hopper bus right along the North Norfolk coast. You are within 10/15 mins walking distance of the village with pub serving real ales, pub food, restaurant, 24 hour garage with extensive mini mart and off licence, award winning chip shop with restaurant; and the village Medieval round tower church. Or walk the other way for Felbrigg park (30 mins walk): National Trust Jacobean hall, walled gardens, parkland and lake, the 'Great Wood' forest, Stables cafe and restaurant. For beaches Cromer is nearest with pier, sea-side town 'life', crab fishing boats, pubs, life-guard and surf guard; the well known Holkham gap is just up the coast; Sheringham is just along the coast and nearer you is the lovely quiet little town of Overstrand with steep climb down cliffs to the sandy beach and see our guide to some more out of the way places and hidden beaches. To the west of us is the North Norfolk coast with coastal villages tucked away behind the wild marshes and to the east the broads with wide open spaces and unspoilt coastline. Stately homes and lovely Norfolk flint villages; beaches in town or unknown and out of the way; restaurants bib gourmand and village pubs; all with door to door directions, getting you right there first time.
