Our NEWLY REFURBISHED home is a delightful Georgian townhouse set in the heart of Uttoxeter, a bustling market town on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands and Peak District. Perfect for weekend trips to Alton Towers and Uttoxeter Racecourse, our lovely house provides a peaceful refuge with enticing local amenities on the doorstep: award-winning eateries, pubs, cinema and even an ice-rink! Perfect location for many National Trust properties: Shugborough, Ilam and Sudbury Hall to name a few. New windows, a new secondary entrance door and recarpet and redecoration of hallway make our home a perfect space for up to 8 people with private garden too. We can provide a travel cot if required. Children are more than welcome however stairs are steep (an original Georgian townhouse!). Tea, coffee and linen are provided. Please message for additional extras such as breakfast or dinner packages. There is space to store bicycles securely. You have the entire house to yourselves to ensure COVID SAFETY. Free off road parking for ONE car on church forecourt opposite house. Details how to access permit will be supplied with check-in information. Additional cars have free on street parking within time restrictions. We are available throughout your stay, contactable by mobile. We do live locally so are able to help out quickly should the need arise. Uttoxeter is a gem of Staffordshire! On the doorstep of JCB, Alton Towers, Nelsons Gin, Uttoxeter Racecourse and Sudbury Hall, there is a lovely town park and plethora of real ale pubs, coffee bars (Bear Coffee started here!) and restaurants. Last Saturday of the month is the well-known Makers Market (farmers and craft market) and the Racecourse offers many events such as Ladies Day racing and events nights with bands such as Madness! The Bus station is around the corner with buses to Alton Towers, Ashbourne (lovely town in the Peak District), Burton-upon-Trent and Derby. The train station has routes to Derby, Stoke and Crewe and lots of Taxi firms. There is a good walking route around the town incorporating the lovely park and the Staffordshire Way walking route is easy to pick up the other side of town. Parking for our house is on street and should you book we can recommend where best to park. Ashbourne is a great place to find the Tissington Trail in the Peaks - ideal for cycling and walking and further afield is the lovely Manifold Way, again good for walking and cycling. Up on the Moorlands are Foxfield and the Churnet Valley Railways which offer a lovely trip back in time to the manufacturing past of the Moorlands. We have committed and signed up to Air BNB's COVID SECURE cleaning protocol and can ensure that we follow their guidance when cleaning between stays e.g. aerating rooms fully and blocking days between stays to avoid cross-contamination. We would like to reassure guests with complimentary hand sanitizers, masks and COVID SECURE cleaning products availabe to use during your visit to ensure a hygenic and safe environment for your stay.
