Newly refurbished wing with one bedroom and bathroom, its own sitting room and kitchen, set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. An idyllic retreat with its own wild flower meadows - a real escape from the world, but with easy access to Oxford's dreaming spires and excellent pubs. If you're a foodie - Oxford's only Michelin starred pub is less than 3 miles away! A great base for walking, cycling, shopping, sight-seeing or simply relaxing and enjoying nature at it's best. Welcome to your beautiful base in the Oxfordshire countryside. You will have an annexed area of a country house, set within 30 acres. There are a few alpacas in the field, occasionally sheep, and in the Spring a wild flower meadow to meander through. Exploring further, the back of the home joins a nature reserve, and you can set off on a countryside walk into the woodland. In the summer months you can enjoy the use of the private swimming pool and tennis court (when the weather permits!). You are within 10 miles of Oxford City centre, with its historic buildings, plethora of restaurants, canals, shops and colleges. You will find 1 spacious bedroom, with a vast, specially made super-super king bed. (7 ft by 7 ft), which will be freshly made with clean linen, and towels provided at the start of your stay. There is a flat screen television in the sitting room, with freeview channels and also a DVD player. (If you would like to borrow a DVD we have a LARGE collection. There is a library of over 800 to choose from!) There is a living area and kitchen and you are more than welcome to enjoy the gardens and the outside terrace. You'll enjoy the benefits of a modern bathroom, equipped with both a bath, power shower and heated towel rail. Utilities: - Hairdryer - Iron and Ironing Board - use of washing machine and separate dryer - Cafetiere with ground coffee - Organic Toiletries - Welcome basket with local seasonal organic produce (if you're lucky this might be from the estate fruit and vegetable garden!) Health and Fitness - Year round access to a large outdoor jacuzzi and seasonal access to an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court. - Private yoga lessons, personal training or massages may be available on request. - Use of the yoga/fitness studio is also available on request. Art Studio - There is an art studio on site, which may be available - please request in advance! The area is annexed from the main home, but the entrance is shared. There are about 10 stairs leading up to the flat. I will be here to welcome you, and will be around most of the time if you should need help with anything, or directions to Oxford etc. Just 10 miles from the Oxford City centre, this is the perfect place for those looking to combine a City Break with plenty of countryside air. You can explore the local area, with its footpaths, pubs and market towns. Heading in to Oxford, will take about 25 minutes by car, or within 15 minutes you reach Bicester. Bicester Village is on your doorstep (15 minutes by car). You can spend the morning wandering through the woods, and in the afternoon go on a shopping spree in the Luxury Bicester Village Shopping centre. If you like Cycling, we have many routes we can share with you - of which most include a fantastic eatery. One of our favourites, is The Milk Shed at Weston-on-the Green (approximately 10 miles away) - their delicious coffees, indulgent all-day brunches and 20 flavours of ice-cream make it well worth the peddling. For the golf enthusiasts, we have 2 Golf Courses within a couple of mile; Magnolia Park and Studley Wood. The Oxfordshire Golf Course is also only 20 minutes drive away. The Cotswolds and the Chilterns are also within reach. You will need a car to get around. There is no public transport other than ordering a taxi. Bicester Village Station is the closest, about 15 minutes by car. Oxford Station is half an hour away. Molly, our very friendly Great Dane lives in the house, but is never allowed in the wing. However, she is very much a part of the family so this home will not be suitable for people who have an aversion to dogs. For this reason, we also cannot accommodate pets.
