Full of character, self contained.
A cosy and quirky bolt hole for two. Sitting/kitchen/dining room, bathroom and steep stairs to spacious bedroom. Low ceilings give character to this Tudor retreat. The whole space is full of light and sunshine. Great village with shop and two pubs Laxfield, or Relaxfield as it is known, was discovered in the 60's by escapee artists from London. It is a highly individual rural village with a welcoming local community bound together by the unique Low House pub. There is on street parking on the wide High Street outside the property. The house is Georgian with a Tudor cottage attached, this is where you will stay. There is a large outside table and tubs of flowers on the 'patio' outside your front door and you are welcome to use this area as your own. There is shared access to the laundry room. I would hope to always be here to offer you a warm welcome, but there is a key safe if necessary. The village is well located for a short drive to Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich. Framlingham with its castle and market and Halesworth with The New Cut Arts Centre are about 8 miles away. The nearby village of Stradbroke has tennis courts, gym and swimming pool. The village shop is 100metres from the house, is really well stocked and open all hours. There are two pubs in the village both of which serve food. The medieval Guildhall has a charming museum and stands in the heart of the village opposite the church. There is a children's playground on the playingfield and the newly refurbished village hall holds numerous events. There are lots of delightful local walks. The kitchen is very compact, but has everything you need. The living space is 15' X 9' maximum. There is a local bus service but you definitely need a car to explore.
