Barrie’s work of Peter Pan and holds the annual Thorpeness Regatta where boat races are held during the day and a fantastic fireworks display can be seen at night. It is famous for the annual Aldeburgh Festival, which takes place nearby at Snape Maltings – home to the renowned composer Benjamin Britten.
