As part of the Jolly Good Pubs group, The Marlborough Head is a friendly and welcoming local pub located in the heart of Dedham Vale. We stock a great range of local ales, craft gins, and wines of interest and our home-cooked menus are based on pub classics from local farmers and producers. In the dining rooms we have two large open fires for a cosy atmosphere to enjoy a fireside pint or two after a country walk or in the summer our beer garden has plenty of seating to enjoy the sun! Large room with king-sized bed and lovely views overlooking the famous Dedham church and the Royal Square. The en-suite is a good size and has a lovely roll top bath which also looks out over the Royal Square. No Dogs Allowed The pub owners are also homegrown, coming from the nearby town of Manningtree. They have a passion for the industry as well as the area and providing good home-cooked food, a great pint with a friendly service is what they value most. The manager of The Marlborough Head is fun and energetic, ensuring that no task is too much to ensure our guests have a great stay. All the staff are a great team and enjoy the environment they work in which is proven in the service they provide. You can be certain of a warm welcomed when visiting! Set in the heart of Dedham Vale stretching from the High Street down Mill Lane towards the river. Based in the beautiful Constable countryside there are plenty of local walks in every direction from a quick 10 minute stroll to hours of hiking! There is also rowing boat hire a short walk away and plenty of quaint and quirky shops along the high street. If you're wanting to travel further afield, the historic towns of Harwich and Colchester and the waterfront town of Ipswich are a short drive.
