L'Escapade De Marijac, Lyons La Forêt.

This beautifully timbered room is situated in Lyons-la-Forêt one of the most beautiful villages in France which dates back to the roman period. This beautiful room with timber beams was once part of the home of the famous French cartoonist Marijac. A continental breakfast is served daily at L'Escapade de Marijac and comprises of freshly baked bread and pastries from the local reputable bakers, delivered each morning directly to your door. There is a small kitchenette within the room with a stocked fridge; microwave and kitchenware. (WHERE AS THIS IS A SERVICE THAT WE NORMALLY PROVIDE IT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK). The room is self-contained and has its own access from the garden via a short staircase. We live next door and can help with local tourist information, booking restaurants, tickets, etc and we offer a chauffeur service to and from airports/train stations as well as guided tours of the area. Officially listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France, our village has an Abbey and a Chateau to visit nearby. In the middle of Europe's largest beech tree forest, there are many walks and cycle rides from our front door. A bus goes from our village to Rouen which has connecting buses and trains to Paris. We are also ideally situated for day trips to Monet’s garden in Giverny, Dieppe, Honfleur, Parc St Paul or Paris. We can offer you Table d'hote for a 3 course home cooked meal for €15 per person. We also have a gite next door that houses 6 people if you are travelling with a larger group. DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK THE DELIVERY OF BREAKFAST SERVICE HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.
