Ellie's House

A beautifully restored home with breathtaking views from huge windows on every floor that look out onto a rolling lawn, the sea, and the Libby Island lighthouse in the distance. A large home with room to roam, but cozy nooks everywhere. For early risers, the sunrises are spectacular. Stargazing at night is awe-inspiring. The third floor space would be a wonderful area to work, meditate, or do yoga. For sleeping arrangements: The second floor has 3 bedrooms. For early risers, the back bedroom has a king sized bed and spectacular sunrises. For those who prefer a darker bedroom, the front room also has a king sized bed. There is also a smaller bedroom with a full sized bed. The third floor has a 1 full bed and 1 twin bed which would make a nice family bedroom with plenty of space to spread out, a sitting area, and room to play. For dining, a nice sized dining room adjoins the kitchen. There is also a screened in porch with a table and chairs. There are 2 adjoining living rooms for socializing or curling up with a book. Most every room has large, beautiful windows to take advantage of the extraordinary Maine light There is parking for several cars in front of the house. The back of the house has a deck that runs along the length of the house. The screen porch is a great place to dine during the buggy times. The top floor is apartment sized with a lovely private place to work at a large table, or curl up on the sofa to read and contemplate and also has amazing views. The house also has an extensive library of great works of literature I live 6 hours away, but I have a property manager 1/2 mile away if any issues come up. The house is located on a very quiet road that is great for walking. Water access is 1/2 mile away on Cow Point. You can also go 2 miles to Roque Bluffs State Park for the public beach and trails. Roque Bluffs is about 10 miles from Machias which is where the supermarket, hospital etc is located.
