If you’re looking for a luxurious country escape, the stunning three-bedroom lovingly converted barn La Roche has it all. Sleeping six, with open plan living, hot tub and a wow-factor a floor-to-ceiling window at the very centre of the property. Located on the historic Welbeck estate, nestled within Sherwood Forest in north Nottinghamshire. Wonderful country walks straight from the door and a great central location for exploring Rufford, Newstead, Clumber, Bolsover Castle and Hardwick Hall. If you’re looking for a luxurious country escape, the stunning three-bedroom barn La Roche has it all. Sunlight floods the whole place thanks to a wow-factor floor-to-ceiling window at the very centre of the property. And if that wasn’t enough, overhead original wooden beams provide even more character. Step through the doors and you’ll find yourself in a spacious open plan kitchen with a breakfast bar. The dining area makes a perfect place for gathering with stunning views across its south-facing garden to fields and woodland beyond. On bright, sunny days there won’t be a better place to relax and enjoy the surroundings than on the large patio area. With a hot tub, sun loungers, dining table for alfresco living, it’s the best spot for chilling out and enjoying a bite to eat outdoors. Back inside, the space includes a generous lounge, which is decorated in muted shades of blues and greys, providing a calming and comfy area to retreat, read, chat, play board games or simply watch television. There’s a washroom/toilet on the ground floor too, along with utility space to hide away shoes, boots and outdoor clothes. Stairs lead up to a grand minstrel gallery, which not only overlooks the lower floor but offers unrivalled views of the surrounding countryside. Wander over to one side of the gallery and you’ll find the master bedroom with king-size bed, which leads through to a large family bathroom. On the same floor, there is also a double bedroom with en suite and a kingsize bedroom. There’s absolutely no reason to flip a coin for the best room though because all are spacious and have the most amazing views. Guests have sole use of the barn, hot tub, garden and patio area at the back. The courtyard at the front is shared with the other barns, with designated parking for at least 3 cars. Guest have access to the public footpaths across the estate and can also walk through a private area of the estate to the cafe, farm shop and art galleries. Our friendly team are available at all times to help with any queries, questions or problems you may have. The estate also has 24-hour security. One of five stunning barn conversions with views across the countryside available as holiday cottages. The 15,000-acre country estate that surrounds Welbeck Abbey has been home to the Dukes of Portland and their families since 1607. Nestled in Nottinghamshire’s Sherwood Forest, it has provided the perfect country retreat for centuries ....And continues to do so. Tucked away in a quiet part of the estate are the newly transformed Holbeck Farm Barns, providing the chance to truly get away from it all. These self-contained barn conversions are set in the estate’s picture-perfect village of Holbeck with uninterrupted views of rolling fields and woodland. Here you can immerse yourself in a slower pace of life, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and explore the paths that flank the barns. A trail that starts by the side of the Barns leads right into the picturesque limestone gorge of the estate’s Creswell Crags; home to the only Ice Age cave art in the UK. If art’s your thing, there’s easy access to The Courtyard at Welbeck too with its contemporary art gallery and museum and a trip there isn’t complete without a stop off at The Harley Café and Welbeck Farm Shop. You can also book to try fishing on the private Welbeck lakes, enjoy a short course at The School of Artisan Food. or take a horse ride, carriage trip or pony trek from Coloured Cob Equestrian Centre. If you’re able to stay a little longer and have time to explore, there are plenty of places to visit right on the doorstep. Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest, Rufford Abbey Country Park, Newstead Abbey, Bolsover Castle, Sherwood Pines, Gullivers Valley theme park, Mr Straws House or Hardwick Hall are just a few of the many places within a 30 minutes’ drive.
