With its ample living area and separate bedroom, a fully-equipped kitchen, good WiFi and all the comforts of a superior hotel, this flat is ideally suited to long or short stays. It's connected to our home, but you'll have a separate entrance and outdoor area in a quiet street leading to a nature reserve. At the same time, you're a 10-15 minute drive to tourist attractions, Canberra Hospital and Stromlo cycling centre. A well stocked IGA, local shops and bus are just 3 minutes walk. This approximately 60m2 flat is renovated, fresh, bright, stylish and comfortable. It's cosy in winter and cool in summer, with reverse cycle air conditioning and electric blankets. Double blinds can be open to the garden setting, shaded for filtered light and privacy by day, or set to block out the light for a sleep in. Enjoy the kitchen filled with the amenities you need whether you're with us for a night or long term. You'll have an oven, stove, microwave, full-sized fridge, coffee maker, rice cooker, pots and pans as well as the essentials. You'll enjoy all the fixings for a DIY breakfast and the equipment you need to enjoy it. The flat has a washer/dryer, and if, like us, you prefer not to use a dryer, the flat has a drying rack or you can talk to us about using our garden clothes line. The ensuite bathroom features a waterfall shower head and comes stocked up with towels, bathrobes, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Feel free to dip into the well-stocked bookshelves and DVDs during your stay. The comfy lounge converts into a double sofa bed. If you have an additional guest or two, please let us know when you're booking, and we can set this up for you. There is an extra charge for a third or fourth guest. Free wifi, shady courtyard for your exclusive use, separate entrance and off-street car spot. Use of our outdoor clothes line can be arranged for those who prefer not to use a clothes dryer. My partner (Brad) and I are happy to help you out with any questions you have leading up to or during your stay. We are also happy to leave you to it, if that's your preference. Chapman is a quiet residential suburb fringed by Cooleman Ridge Reserve. It has a great set of local shops including a well-stocked IGA (with bottle shop), patisserie/cafe, pharmacy and Chinese restaurant just 3 minutes walk from home. We're at the end of a quiet, leafy street, and Cooleman Ridge Reserve - see the photo - begins just one house away. In minutes you can be walking or cycling in natural surroundings with beautiful views. You'll feel a million miles from care, but in fact we're about 15 minutes drive from Parliament House and many of Canberra's attractions such as the National Gallery, Questacon, the Arboretum and the National Museum, and a similar distance from Canberra Hospital and Woden - a shopping, office and transport centre. Civic - Canberra's city centre, and ANU are about 20 minutes by car. Cooleman Court - with post office, Aldi, Woolworths, restaurants, dry cleaners, bakery, cafes etc - is just 3 kilometres from home. Cyclists will enjoy the proximity to the world-class mountain-biking equestrian facility at nearby Stromlo Forest Park, and host Brad will gladly advise you on the trails and options. The bus stop with regular routes to Woden transport hub and Cooleman Court Shopping Centre is just 150 metres from the door. Please note that the flat is adjoined to our home. You have your own entrance and generous spaces, but it is not a detached building.
