Welcome to our private lakefront home on 85 acre "Robin Hood" lake in Sherwood Forest in the beautiful Berkshire mountains. 4 Bedrooms, 2 full baths. 2 living areas. Beautiful 3 season sunroom overlooking water. Relax & rejuvenate on the 2 decks or lakefront lounging area. Enjoy the hammock, swings, bicycles, private dock with boats, & outdoor games. Grill on the deck, gather the family to cook S'more's by the firepit. Enjoy Internet and 3 TV's. Movies, books & board games. Adorable Berkshire Mountain 1200 Sq Ft. Lake home that has been freshly updated. Brand new appliances for 2021. Clean, bright and cheery lake/nautical theme. Lots of fun details and comfortable so just come and enjoy. 2 bedrooms upstairs & 2 downstairs. A full bathroom and living area on each level. Enjoy the many games, books; puzzles, 3 TVs, (We use Sling for tv viewing for 3 Devices at a time. (Please note due to our rural location WiFi and tv signal may be spotty - especially during bad weather). We do have DVD players w/movies if that happens. Outdoors we provide lots of lake toys including 5 kayaks, 2 paddle boards & canoe. We have a lakefront treehouse, basketball hoop with ball, bikes, corn hole, lakefront firepit, fire table, tetherball and a ninja obstacle course for kids/teens. Fishing poles, floats, kids & adult swing also provided along with many other outdoor games and toys. Our home has a full kitchen with Island seating for 4. Table in sunroom seats 4-6. There is also picnic table on deck with umbrella. Kitchen has Keurig, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, stove, and is fully stocked with all you will need to live comfortably. Just bring the food. :) Brand new appliances for 2021! Washer and dryer on lower level. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and there is an A/C unit upstairs in a bedroom plus a unit in the 3 season room. Downstairs usually stays pleasantly cool on its own. For chilly days the home is heated and has electric fireplaces to warm up and read a good book by. We also have plenty of parking in the circle drive. Please note the pontoon boat you may see is not included due to safety restrictions. Sorry! I can be reached anytime through text or email. I am happy to answer any questions. The home is within walking distance to Sherwood Shoppe for delicious food, ice cream and necessities. Located on Mystic Isle Way, a peninsula, in the middle of the lake, for a unique and quiet experience with very little traffic to make it safe to walk, bike and play. Close to Jacob's Pillow dance festival (5 minutes away), Tangle wood Music festival (30 minutes away), Great restaurants, shopping, including Lee outlets (15 minutes away) , hiking, museums (Norman Rockwell) , art and of course nature. During the winter months, the Berkshires are a great vacation destination for snow enthusiasts, with skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing at the top of the list. From family ski areas, such as Bousquet Mountain in Pittsfield, MA and Otis Ridge Family Ski Area, Otis to Jiminy Peak. Skiing can get a bit pricey at times, no matter where you go in the Northeast, but you can often find lift tickets to be 50% less than heading north to Vermont. So, if you are thinking about a winter vacation with skiing in your plans …consider the Berkshires! The lake freezes in the winter for great ice skating as well. Just please ask a neighbor before venturing out to make sure it is solid and safe for skating. Many folks enjoy snowshoeing around the lake and also cross country skiing. Lots of great hiking, biking right from the house. Many more trails in the area. The lake is private and is a "no wake" lake meaning boats must go slow. This makes it ideal for kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding and for kids and adults to safely swim. No lifeguards on duty so swim at your own risk. You can swim off the dock or at one of the sandy beaches around the lake. It is a truly beautiful area with friendly people and a slower pace of life. This is a non smoking property so please respect this rule. In the colder months make sure you are prepared for snow. We are a rural mountain community so make sure your vehicle can handle snow and ice. We have a plow service which plows anything over 4" in the driveway and we keep a shovel and de-icer for you to take care of the path and deck area during your stay. If for some reason you are unable to do this yourself please let us know in advance of your reservation and we can contract for someone to come take care of it. We get lots of beautiful snowy days so enjoy!!
