Buzzards Watch - Abbey Cottages Talley, Llandeilo

Charming country cottage overlooking the ruins of a medieval abbey in a quaint village. Situated in gorgeous countryside it is a heaven of peace and beauty. There is a cozy open plan living area downstairs with open fireplace. Three comfortable bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 small single) and bathroom with shower over bath upstairs. There is much to do in the beautiful area but there is plenty to do and see just outside your door. There are two ancient lakes on the grounds of the estate with a family of resident swans, ducks and other migratory birds. We have regular visits by red kites from the area (we counted a group of eight recently), a bird hide and many walks with gorgeous views up Talley hills. There are accounts of otters being seen too. Fishing is possible by prior arrangement. Go up the Talley hills and try the different walks some steeper than others to experience the amazing views of the lakes and Brecon Beacons. Whether you like to relax and enjoy the beauty and peaceful environment, look at the beautiful nights skies with a glass of wine by the fire or if you are the active type there is lots to do like cycling, walking, fishing, foraging. We will be here to welcome you but like to respect our guests’ privacy for the duration of your stay. We are always available for any suggestions you may need of restaurants or places to visit in the area. We hope you feel at home in the cottage and just ask you to treat it with respect and leave it as you find it. We happily welcome dogs but ask that dogs aren't allowed upstairs or on the furniture. And when outside on the fields please make sure they are always kept on the lead since there are sheep on the grounds. Up to two well behaved dogs can stay, at an additional £20 per dog for the stay, payable on arrival.
