Self contained bush retreat near centre of Kangaroo Flat This fully self contained home is tucked away in a scenic bush setting, but very close (walking distance) to the Kangaroo Flat amenities. The home comprises 2 bedrooms (one with a QS bed & the other with a king single and single bed). In the lounge room there is a double bed sofa. There is a fully functional kitchen and a separate laundry with washing machine/dryer. This property has everything you need for a comfortable stay including air-conditioner & heating in the lounge room, free Wi-Fi, LCD TV in lounge (and another wall-mounted LCD TV in the master bedroom), DVD, music player, coffee maker, etc. Other extras include a collection of books, magazines, games and a range of DVDs (adults & childrens) and audio CDs. Milk, coffee & sugar are provided upon arrival along with other basic essentials (eg shampoo/conditioner, liquid soap, linen etc) The bathroom has a bath/shower, toiletries, hair dryer, towels The Neighbourhood- It is set in semi bushland with walking tracks outside the door (don't get lost!) Often in the evening/early morning kangaroos/wallabies can be seen just metres from your front door. This is a very peaceful area with barely any traffic and is private and secure The garden is available for your use. You will have your own carport and plenty of off-street parking. Access- It is just 5 minutes walk to the Kangaroo Flat railway station (that takes you into the Bendigo CBD or, alternately, directly into Melbourne's Southern Cross station). The shopping centre is approx 8 minutes walk, with supermarkets, ATMs. chemist, hotel, restaurants, takeaway food and a wide variety of shops to browse (we highly recommend High on Music retro record store) There are buses running frequently into Bendigo from this precinct. Arrival- The key is provided via a coded key safe so we are flexible about your arrival time. Information on the Wi-Fi password etc is provided (along with brochures etc of things to do around the region). There are pamphlets for local restaurants and takeaway food. Other things to note- You will not be disturbed during your stay, however we are readily available to answer any question or address any needs you may have. Rules- Strictly no smoking indoors and no parties. We welcome you to use everything provided. The entire house (except one storage cupboard) and garden is available for guests to use. There are also buses running from High St (10 minute walk) into Bendigo.
