Self-contained barn conversion near Cambridge
Pear Tree Studio is a new barn conversion in the garden of a family house in a village location five miles from Cambridge. We have on-site parking, there is a regular bus service into Cambridge from a nearby stop, and a cycle route to Cambridge via Grantchester Meadows. The studio has underfloor heating, a shower room/WC, kitchen, private patio and views over the garden and Cambridgeshire countryside. The kitchen has a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and two-ring hob. Ttea, coffee and milk are proviced. The bathroom has a WC and shower. Towels are provided. The studio is self-contained but guests have use of an outdoor patio area. We are on hand to welcome guests and are around in the evenings and at weekends. We leave the key in a safe place so that guests can enter the studio without interaction if they prefer. The village is five miles west of Cambridge. There is a pub, post office and convenience store (Budgens) in the village and a variety of gastro pubs in the nearby villages of Coton and Grantchester. Burwash Manor, just down the road, has a selection of independent shops, cafés and a delicatessen. We are close to the historic sites, museums and shops of Cambridge and also handy for the National Trust’s Wimpole Hall, the Wimpole Way footpath network and Grantchester Meadows. There are walks straight from the door through the Trumpington Farm estate. Pear Tree Studio is two miles from Junction 12 of the M11 motorway. There is on-site parking. The 18 bus runs hourly (7am-7pm, Monday – Saturday) into Cambridge from a bus stop close to the house. There is a dedicated cycle path all the way to Cambridge.
