Number 10
Our heritage listed character cottage in the south west corner of Adelaide is ideal for those on longer work or study visits. We offer generous discounts for those longer stays. As one recent review says "This was our second stay at Number 10. We clearly loved it so much the first time round that we came back for seconds". Bring your dog if you like, your furry friend is more than welcome. Entrance is through a secure, gated courtyard garden which has a fish pond and seating. The size of the cottage is deceptive as when you enter, it has an open plan feel in the main living area - which features modern kitchen, dining area and lounge area. A loft above the lounge area houses a double bed which can be used as an extra sleeping area. Access to the loft area is via a ladder. We have found the ladder a very secure access, however it is more suited to agile people and guests agree to use the loft at their own risk. This house is pet friendly as it has a secure yard and is close to local parklands. The kitchen has stainless steel bench tops, gas stove top, fan forced electric oven and dishwasher. The upstairs main bedroom is very spacious, light and airy. It is a very peaceful room and features a sleeping area with a queen sized bed with luxury mattress, television, bookshelves and a large picture window; and on the other side of the stair well, a roomy desk area with storage space, built in robes and enough floor space for stretching and yoga ( mat supplied). Both upstairs and downstairs have reverse cycle air-conditioning and Wifi. The bathroom area has separate toilet, shower, and vanity area and also features laundry facilities - Miele washer, dryer and iron. There is an outdoor kitchen area with a barbecue and a dining setting. We know that you will enjoy the ambience and design of this inner city space - this is a comfortable and much loved home, close to public transport and easy walking to the Central market and Gouger st. The local street is very quiet on weekends, on weekdays there are businesses in the street, including an adjacent children's centre - there are some busy times including drop off time. The off street parking is a bonus, we comfortably park a mid sized car ; the driveway is 2.8 metre's wide. As we have been long term residents at the property - we have valuable local knowledge which we are able to impart if wanted. Close to public transport and easy walking to the Central market and Gouger st. Off street parking for one car. Public transport bus readily available; tram services ( free in the city) are a short walk away. Adelaide is also very walkable and has some good bike share services. There is a completely self contained granny flat at the rear of the property which can be rented at additional cost if needed. The flat is used from time to time by the owners - we will always let you know the times when we will plan to stay in the flat.
