Beachfront apartment in Praia de Mira

A bright and spacious apartment in a quiet neighbourhood, just across the street from the beach, in the genuine and charming “Praia de Mira” in the Centre of Portugal. Two bedroom, a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area and a friendly host, fully committed to ensuring you have a pleasant stay. Sandy beaches, water sports, lake, forest, cycling and hiking tracks, gastronomy – all at your door. An ideal place for couples, group travellers and families with kids. Our bright and spacious apartment is located in the genuine and charming Praia de Mira, a fabulous beach in the Centre of Portugal. Located on the second floor of a modern building in the northern neighbourhood of the beach village, the apartment offers two comfortable double bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and a wide open-space featuring a living room area with TV, a dining room area with a table for six people and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully-equipped with fridge, stove, microwave oven, kettle, coffee machine. Iron / ironing board are available upon request and access to a washing machine can be arranged. The total area of the apartament is 70 square meters. Parking is for free in the whole neighborhood and it is usually very easy to find a parking spot directly in front of the building. Wireless internet access is available. Access to the beach is directly across the road in front of the apartment. Just climb the dune and enjoy the breeze of the Atlantic Ocean on a wild sandy beach. Walk along the sea in the company of the seagulls and watch the local fishermen enter the sea with their wooden boats and pull the fishing nets back to the beach. Help them pull the nets or carry their baskets and maybe you can even get some fish for free. If not, just barter for a piece of their fresh catch or buy it from the local fish market. There is a grill in the garage. Our side of the beach is usually not crowded but there is unfortunately no swimming surveillance. Take a short ten minutes’ walk to the centre of the village to reach the main beach areas. You will find two bycicles in the garage. Car The village is easily reachable by car and is one-and-a-half-hour drive from Porto, two hours from Lisbon and two hours from the border with Spain (Vilar Formoso). The region is served by a good network of motorways and all regional roads are of very good quality. The nearest motorway intersection is just 10Km away with the A17 which is connected to Porto, Lisbon or the Spanish border. Below are the distances from main Airports / borders to Praia de Mira. From “Mira” to “Praia de Mira” you will have to catch one of the regional buses from the town centre. Travelling from Porto you will have to take an express bus to Aveiro or Coimbra and from there take a regional bus from "Transdev" to “Praia de Mira”. Express buses: Rede Nacional de Expressos Regional buses: Transdev Train Praia de Mira is not directly served by train, so in case you plan to use it to travel, please consider that you will have to switch to the regional buses to reach the beach. You can take an inter-city train or express train (Alfa) from Lisbon or Porto to either Aveiro or Coimbra. From there you will have to get on the regional bus to “Praia de Mira”. Trains: CP Portugal Although we are happy to host families with babies below 2 years, we must advise you that the apartment is located on a second floor without elevator. There is also no space on the entrance of the building to safely store a pram / stroller. You will have to carry it with you to the apartment, leave it in the car in the garage/shed. If you are happy to accept these conditions we will arrange for a baby bed and other items needed for your little one.
