Thank you for viewing Prospect House. We have a one bedroom ground floor flat (with the bedroom above the ground floor sitting room). This is part of our (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Georgian detached family house. The flat has separate entrance from the main house, but entrance to the property is from the same gates. It is close to buses into the city centre, a small convenience store and pub nearby. The famous Waterford Glass Crystal factory & shop is only 10 - 12 minutes drive away. We are willing to share our knowledge but will always respect your privacy. If you want to go into the city there is the world famous Waterford Glass Crystal factory and shop, the Viking Triangle and a vibrant city centre. Outside the city there is the Greenway if you are keen to bicycle or walk, woodland walks are not far away. Funfairs and amusements and a big public beach are in Tramore if that's your thing. Beautiful tranquil quiet beaches with few people also close if you prefer that. By car: approximately 8 minutes to the city centre, and 12 - 15 minutes to Waterford Plunkett Train station. We are about an hour and a half from Rosslare Ferry terminal to UK and France. Just over 2 hours to Cork Airport, 3 - 4 hours to Dublin airport (traffic is very variable). Parking on site: Behind keypad coded security gates and with movement sensitive lights at night for your safety. Parking no problem at Prospect House Please note that these rooms are part of a family house, it is not a 5 star hotel. We will give a friendly welcome and do our best to help you enjoy your stay. Bigger supermarkets Supervalu and Lidl about 10 minutes drive away. Our house is going through a renovation after many years of neglect by previous owners, these rooms are the first part to be fully restored, electrically rewired, plumbing overhauled, floors and walls redone - new carpets, new tiles. So we apologise in advance that there is building equipment around - we'll do our best to keep it all quiet and peaceful while you are with us. Heating: We have heating radiators in the flats that come on for an hour in the morning and 2 - 4 hours in the evening - depends on the weather and time of year. The heating is not on through the day nor through the night. We are trying hard to respect the environment and not waste energy and hope our guests will respect that. We are happy to increase the time the heating is on to accommodate a guest's needs but guests should note that if heating is required the whole time our costs (just for the heating) will go above the nightly room cost and we reserve the right to charge for additional heating. Covid 19 - Three small notes - while this awful virus is not under control : a) we have stopped leaving coffee, tea, sugar etc. for guests so as not to risk any spread of the virus between one guest and the next b) we ask guests to please take their rubbish with them c) we will be doing the best we can in terms of cleaning
