Large renovated Maison de Maitre, located in Plaisance opposite the Boulangerie. The house is fully renovated, with 4 large bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms and there is a 5th Bedroom /Library with a Double Sofa Bed. The White Bedroom has a Kingsized Bed & a Single Sofa Bed. There is a grand salon with seating for 12 and a large dining table with seating for 12, a kitchen breakfast room, a Library/Bedroom 5 and cloakroom. If you enjoy space and light then this house is ideal for you. With lovely high ceilings and large windows. The Grand Salon is 13metres Long with a wonderful fireplace and a large Dining table with seating for 12 plus a very large sofa which can seat everyone. There is also a flat screen TV with cable TV. The kitchen breakfast room overlooks the garden and has a kitchen table that seats 8 people. The kitchen has a large cooker and fridgefreezer. There is also a laundry area with a washerdryer and dishwasher and cloakroom off the kitchen breakfast room. Upstairs on the 1st floor each of the 4 bedrooms are large with their own ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms. The house has been rewired throughout and each bedroom upstairs has ceiling spotlights plus a ceiling fan which is ideal for warm summer days or nights. Each bedroom also has matching bedside tables and sidelights. All ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms have been installed recently. The master bathroom has a freestanding bath, large walk-in shower and twin sinks. The guest bathroom also has a large walk-in shower. The white room and blue room have smaller but functional shower rooms. The White Bedroom has a King sized Bed and a Single Sofa Bed. The Library/Bedroom 5 on the ground floor has a Double Sofa Bed and 2 Sofa’s and overlooks the front garden and is perfect for enjoying the morning sun and relaxing. A high chair and cot are available. Outside is a 16M Covered Terrace adjacent to the Heated Salt Water Swimming Pool. There is a Cloakroom, large Walk-in Shower Room, Kitchen & Fridge under the covered terrace. Guests will have access to the whole house. There is a wonderful 15m long swimming pool in the garden with a very large covered terrace with an outdoor kitchen. The swimming pool has an electric cover with alarm for safety purposes. We will not be at the house at all. However an English, French & Dutch speaking couple who live locally will be available to provide keys. We will also leave a Guest handbook with details of local shops and restaurants plus information on the surrounding area. The Neighbourhood : We love being opposite the local bakery for delicious morning bread and pastries! Also being able to walk to the wine bar in the old square and the Pizza restaurant in the modern square. The house is a perfect blend of quiet when you want it but with so many activities on your doorstep there's a lot to keep you busy. The Marciac Jazz Festival is also a really fun event and Marciac turns into a Party venue with musicians playing in every corner of the square. There are local open air Swimming pools in Plaisance and Marciac (besides the lake). Bassoues is a pretty Hilltop Village with a large restaurant open throughout the day (Website hidden by Airbnb) Our house is located in a charming village with local restaurants, amenities and a beautiful river within walking distance. Nestled in the heart of gentle Gascony in the land of d'Artagnan, the land of good living and eating well, the Gers offers a number of tasty specialties, such as Armagnac , foie gras and confit duck or goose, or Gascon pastis. To these culinary riches is added an important built and cultural heritage, comprising bastides, castelnaux, monuments and museums. The villages of Fourcès and Larressingle , listed on the list of the most beautiful villages in France, the bastides of Cologne and Saint-Clar, the cathedral of Auch and the collegiate church of La Romieu - halts on the paths of Saint-Jacques de Compostela -, the museum of art campanaire of Isle-Jourdain , and the fortified city of Lectoure , are as many places to discover along your journey in Gascony Being located in south west france local transport is limited. So travelling by car or bicycle is easiest. There are some local taxi companies and details are provided in the Guest Handbook. Our house is located in a charming village with local restaurants within walking distance.
