The lovely farmhouse is set in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside, 20 minutes from the M4. Whilst maintaining many traditional features it has modern facilities and is well placed for many attractions and has stunning views across the Towy Valley. The house is at the end of a long private drive, with parking for three vehicles. The large private garden is a great space for relaxing, playing games barbecuing and enjoying the views. A lovely place for all ages to enjoy their ideal holiday. It is a spacious house with: Upstairs: 4 large bedrooms - bedroom 1 has a shower and wash basin, bedroom 2 has an en suite, bedrooms 3 and 4 share a family bathroom. Downstairs: a comfortable lounge with open fire; a study work area /playroom; a dining room; a kitchen; a utility room; a conservatory (available in the Summer) and cloakroom complete with shower,wash basin and toilet. It is child friendly with toys , a travelling cot, high chair and child’s tableware. It is dog friendly for up to two well behaved dogs (dogs are not allowed upstairs).For additional dogs-the owners will need to be contacted. Guests can access all areas of the house and gardens as it is exclusively theirs for the duration of the stay. There is parking space for three cars directly opposite the farmhouse. We are available by phone or email to answer any queries. There are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants nearby. The local pub serves excellent food and is a mile away. The Polyn is a renowned restaurant only a 10 minute walk. Beaches within 30 minutes, numerous castles and 2 famous gardens (National Botanic gardens (2 miles) and Aberglasney(4 miles)). Carmarthen and Llandeilo are lovely towns with a variety of shops, both a 20 minutes drive. For the younger generation there are many attractions within easy reach: Bird sanctuary, Folly Farm, Oakwood theme park, paintballing...For further questions please get in touch. This area is very popular with road cyclists. Further afield there are well known mountain biking trails (Brechfa Forest, Afan Argoed). There are some enjoyable short walks from the house and longer ones within easy drives including coastal walks and the wonderful Pembrokeshire coast line. Visitors may require walking boots/wellingtons, as external areas may be muddy during inclement weather. The Victorian conservatory is a wonderful place to relax in good weather but in the Winter months it has no heating and it can get chilly and damp. There is much to do within a day trip from the farmhouse: Stunning coastal walks with beautiful beaches; magical castles; wonderful gardens; forest trails; road and mountain biking routes; market towns with ample shopping and excellent restaurants and pubs. Alternatively stay put, and enjoy the garden, reading in the study and or playing games. In the Winter months cosying up to an open fire in the sitting room whatever the weather is doing outside, is a must!
