Charming stone cottage in Soca valley “Roman”

Charming old cottage but modern inside . In the friendly village of Ciginj just 5km/5 minutes drive south of the town of Tolmin. This village is at the bottom of the Soca Valley. Big living room with french windows, 2 large bedrooms. Views of the Julian alps from the patio. Ciginj has an excellent pizza/bar Pizza Ti so food and free wifi a 2 minute walk away. The house is made of stone and has original features such as the old pine wood floors and stair case. The bedrooms are large. I supply one hundred per cent cotton bedding and towels. There are electric heaters in the bedroom and kitchen and living room and also a wood burning stove in the living room with logs on the patio. The living room has a TV and DVD player a selection of DVDs to watch. There is a blue tooth music system which plays your own music CDs or radio. There is a selection of local tourist information leaflets and maps. The kitchen table has seats for 4 and washing machine, dryer, cafetière and espresso maker for the hob, a big selection of cookware and utensils, plus teas, coffee, oil salt pepper etc. The bathroom has a bath and a shower. The patio has table and seats for 4 and a bbq. The garden has two sun loungers. immediately behind the house are the village allotments and an easy walk up to the hill of Mengore with its ancient church and stunning trails and views. in Ciginj itself is an easy walk to a little waterfall. I’m in the wonderful Soca Valley famous for white water rafting paragliding and fishing. The hiking trails are amazing here with many well marked routes and incredible views of the alps. And mountain biking is very popular. The river Soca is only 3 km away and the town of Tolmin is 5km (a five minute drive). People are very friendly and welcoming. Food is either traditional Slovenian or Italian. In the Tolmin tourist centre you will find plenty of maps and information about day trips or river activities and here you can hire bikes. You can park immediately outside the house there is room for two cars. If you have any problems my housekeeping lady will be able to assist. Sorry no WiFi at present I am hoping to have it installed by August but currently not available the nearest free WiFi is the bar 2 minutes away in the centre of the village.
