The local village is Bunbury that has recently hosted the ITV series 'Home Fires'. There you will find a good co-op, post office, fantastic butchers and great fish & Chips. Manchester is approx 1 hour away, but local events such as Carfest North, The Pageant of Power, Bolesworth International and Oulton Park racetrack are all on the doorstep. Local walking is quiet and two wonderful pubs are accessible via the lanes or field. However a car is essential for further ventures as there is no local transport. There is plenty of car parking in the drive and taxis available in the evening if required by booking. There are many Horse Trials and Pony Club Championships held locally. As keen competitive riders ourselves we are more than happy to accommodate horses, lorry's and connections for these special occasions.
