Ancient stone-built sheepfold with fantastic sun set views. Located in peaceful French countryside. Sympathetically renovated, large terrace, generous open-plan living space, modern kitchen. Situated in the middle on a wine region, great summer climate. For winter months, a lovely wood-burner is providing heat, giving a nice and cosy atmosphere. Electric radiators in bedrooms & bathroom. 1 double bed, 2 single beds & a sofa bed in the living space. Newly refurbished. Very quiet and peaceful. Cricket song guaranteed! For winter rentals, the wood burner will be lit before your arrival, wood is provided for your stay. Double glazing and good insulation allow to keep the place warm very easily. In the Summer or in the Winter, the adjoining field is home to 2 horses who sometimes share the space with deers. If you enjoy early morning breakfast you should enjoy the view! We don't live on site but in a nearby village. We are available for our visitors and will help with pleasure. Nearest small supermarket is less than 5km away, plenty of restaurants within 15km. Situated in the Gironde area we are at the border of the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne areas... so plenty to see and visit! Wine region, plenty of Chateau open for tours and tastings. Night markets in the summer. Canoe on the river, walks, bike rides... St Emilion is 25 min away, Bergerac 30min away and Bordeaux about 1 hour. Atlantic Ocean is about 2hours away and makes for a good day trip. Vélines and Castillon la Bataille railway stations are 10 min away. Bordeaux and Bergerac Airports are respectively 75 & 38 km away. Taxis are also available nearby but not at english rates!
