Cozy Chalet "Walser" Alps - Monterosa - Alagna

This chalet is a renovated "Walser" style barn, me and my wife renovated the place few years ago with the highest attention to preserve the charming legacy from the past adding all the modern comforts. It is a remote quiet place in the sunny Valsesia valley. We enjoy hiking in the mountains or just walking in the valley or swimming in the river that passes by on the back of our house. We love the nearby "Monte Rosa" Ski domain which can bring you skiing from Alagna to Gressoney and Champoluc. The charming chalet is divided in two distinct parts, each part owned by a different family. Both parts are completely separated with distinct entrances and are being rented out separately through Airbnb. Our part consists of the ground floor part with a 1.000 square meters private garden. A nice patio in front of the house where to eat in the fresh air or relax on the deck chairs . An hot shower built in the rocks gives you the exiting experience to relax in the nature. As we love cooking the house is plenty of food preparation equipments and advises on where to get the best local wines Gattinara, Barbaresco, Barolo and artisanal local food. There is a master bedroom with a king size double bed and another bedroom with 4 individual bunk bed artisanally built in a perfect mountain style called “alcova”. For little babys, there is also a foldable babybed. In the big living room there is a couch where other 2 people can sleep as all the windows can be completely obscured, last but not least a mountain style bathroom built with rocks from the local alps. The house is provided with cordless vacuum cleaner and a robot vacuum cleaner. High speed WIFI is available and connected to the latest Oled TV which is also connected to all satellite channels and digital terrestrial channels.Netflix, Dazn, Amazon Prime are provided. The entrance to our house is on the left side close to the entrance of the private garage. Cars can be parked in the garage and or in the large drive way. Our friendly Belgian neighbour "Ronny" rents out the upper floor. which as a separate and private entrance aswell. In the winter time the snow is removed by a professional service as in the summer there is the gardener to care about the grass. Our favourite nearby "Walser" villages are definitely Alagna at the end of the valley and Rassa 3 kms in the side valley. For skiing, you have the choice between the large resort of Monte Rosa (you have to take the ski lift in Alagna which is 15 kms upstream by car) or the small nearby resort of "Alpe di Mera" (you have to take the lift in the next downstream village "Pila" which is 3 km downstream by car). Our favourite nearby lake is "Lago d'Orta" and we love the charming little town "Orta San Giulio" at the lake (60 kms by car). Both Milan (130 kms) and Turin (135 kms) are reachable for city trips by car. The main airport is Milan Malpensa (95 kms).
