Bluebell Bell Tent - Symonds Yat woodland retreat
We are a small family campsite at Doward Park and welcome well-behaved dogs. The bell tent is suitable for a couple or a family of up to 2 adults and 3 children. We are located in the Wye Valley near Symonds Yat, in-between the historic market town of Ross on Wye and Monmouth. We are just inside the England border next to the Forest of Dean and only half a mile from the welsh border on the river. Fun walking and mountain biking tracks through the woodland a stones through from your Bell Tent. What’s included at Doward Park Campsite: -Beautiful 5 metre Bell Tent -Perfect for a family of 4/5 or couples looking for a Wye Valley Glamping Getaway. -Full sized wooden Double bed, 2x Futon sofa beds (airbed can be provided on request for an additional child). -All bedding/duvets/pillows provided as required. -2x folding chairs, small coffee table, 3 drawer chest, bedding box, 2x bedside tables, cushions, blankets, rugs. -Charcoal BBQ. -Outdoor crockery, cutlery, sharp knife, bottle opener, chopping board, pans, camping kettle (for stove), wooden spoon, spatula washing up set. -Electric hook up supplied via a mobile mains kit is included in the price. -Cool box and ice packs (freezer on site to refreeze these). -Soft lighting and a lantern in the Bell Tent. -Picnic bench for your stay. For Hire: -Double burner Campingaz stove and gas bottle. What you will need to bring: -Towels and toiletries, a cozy pair of slippers, and some warmer clothes for the evenings, torches for night time exploring, a good book for relaxation time, any food or drinks you may need, your own stove (if not hiring one from us). Facilities availble on site Child friendly toilet facilities now installed. New pot washing facilities for 2019 (5 sinks now available). Free hot showers with hair dryer in women’s (requires 20p). Campsite café serving locally roasted barista coffee and homemade cakes. Small campsite shop selling ice cream, locally sourced produce and other essentials. Ice pack freezing. Phone charging in café (charger required). Camping Gaz cylinders & gas cartridge sales. The reception will be open from 8.30am. With the Wye Valley being on the doorstep of the campsite, there are many interesting sites to see. The river and Symonds Yat are within walking distance, including the pubs along the river and the famous Symonds Yat rapids. Also a short stroll from the site you can be at King Arthurs Caves or the Seven Sisters Rocks. Symonds Yat is famous for its picturesque position on the River Wye, also well known for canoeing, bird watching, walking and climbing. All can be accompanied by a stop in one of the riverside pubs. Symonds Yat Rock is also known for its spectacular views across the 3 counties, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Monmouthshire. Peregrine Falcons can be seen from the viewpoint as well.
