People conclude they have been lucky when they see a good sunset. Unless its foggy or very overcast everywhere you should have a good sunset or a dramatic sky line. This is because the sun sets over water 12 months of the year and on or just over the horizon there is always a patch of land which brakes up the light reflected from the bottom of the clouds braking up the orange light. In winter the sun rises over water (Morecambe Bay) as well The hot water is a little unusual in that its a fixed 12.5 kwatts so if you turn on more flow the temperature drops, so fill the bath or sink slowly and the water will be as hot as you can stand. This has caught a couple of people out. A live departure board from a railway station is provided for the interested and devoted alike. Even a small area of beach is included in the property. Plenty of parking Please do not drive on the grass when cones are out or its wet. Motorbike and bicycle friendly Last 75 yards of access is unmade Road and the last 20 M is grass and should not be driven on when wet The road is maintained by the residents and is easily damaged by fast driving. The speed limit on the road is 5 mph and you must be careful and observe this rule. The grass near the caravan is looked after by Steve the next door neighbour and we ask you to respect this and avoid driving on it in wet weather as it is easily damaged. Property would suit individual couple or family who want a very dramatic location with few disturbances and virtually their own piece of coast to explore. As with all airbnb Listings we expect Guests to leave the place as they find it. Consequently We are asking all guests to clean up after their visit. Sunsets are breathtaking all year weather permitting. Whole peninsular is accessible park land. Several tables and benches similar to the one in the photograph situated on the peninsular are for your use. If you are coming by car during weekday daylight we would recommend coming via hardknot pass if you are not of a nervous disposition. In my opinion it’s the most dramatic tarmaced road in the U.K. By train it’s 500 meters to Nethertown railway station down somewhat difficult coast path. There are about 4 trains a day in each direction with fewer trains on Sundays. It is a request stop so you stick you hand out to stop the train and pay on board. ' Don't forget to tell the guard you want to get off at Nethertown when you return. There are cliffs on the site which children could fall down if they are not sensible. See Picture Sandy beach is completely covered at high tide leaving rocks and stones. The rock pools are great for kids to collect small animals There are about 6 other beach chalets at the site, all privately owned , but there are few children and only 2 are lived in permanently.
