La Boutonnière

The gite at La Boutonnière is part of a traditional longère set in the quiet countryside near the village of Sully. It has two bedrooms, each with either a double or two single beds, a large living room and a fully fitted kitchen. There is also a garden outside for guests to use and secure storage for bikes. The gite is located near the Morvan National Park, close to many good walking, cycling and climbing areas, and of course, very close to the vineyards of Cote de Beaune. The gite is in a very quiet location with views across the fields. It combines original features such as exposed beams and the large inglenook fireplace, with modern conveniences such as a fully fitted kitchen and modern bathrooms. The thick walls keep the gite cool in the heat of summer and cosy on cold winters nights. Guest have access to their own garden in front of the gite. We live in the other part of the house and have a large permaculture vegetable garden and orchard. We are available if needed. Sully is a beautiful village with a very friendly community. Our neighbour is the Chateau de Sully which is open to visitors in the summer. As well as the chateau we also have a local honey producer. The voie verte (greenway) runs through the village and is part of a walking / cycling network that extends across Burgundy and connects many towns and villages. In this area it follows the old railway line. There are occasional buses from Sully to Autun and Santenay-les-bains. We have lots of wildlife visiting the gite garden including birds and red squirrels.
