Nestled in olive groves you can enjoy the Tuscan countryside in a quiet and private atmosphere with a friendly hospitality. The location is a perfect basis for exploring any major highlight of Tuscany. Agriturismo I Gelsi is a peaceful farmhouse settled on the sunny side of the Tuscan hills. It is surrounded by olive trees, vineyard and fruit trees. It has a panoramic swimming pool where you can cool off during the hot summer days and enjoy the beauty of the sunsets from a privileged point of view. The farmhouse offers just a cozy apartment that has been accurately renovated in a Tuscan style, with terracotta tiles paving the floors and wooden beams embellishing the ceiling. The accommodation includes a double room which opens out onto the lively landscaped backyard and a bedroom with two single beds looking onto the valley through a picturesque arch window - both comfy and quiet, where you can relax and wake up to the sound of birdsong; a spacious bathroom with a shower and bidet; a traditional and fully equipped kitchen-dining room with facilities for cooking your meals. This space includes a wood fireplace and a living-room corner with a sofa. In the large, private garden you can find space to read a book in the shade of a tree, cook outdoors using the BBQ and eat under the covered area. It’s also a perfect place to relax in the evening enjoying a glass of local wine, touched by the summer breeze surrounded by the sounds of nature. Agriturismo I Gelsi is a place to relax, unwind and enjoy leisure walks under the Tuscan sun. It’s just a short hop away from the historic and artistic cities of Florence, Arezzo, Chianti region and many other picturesque little Tuscan villages. The apartment has an independent entrance with a private garden, covered dining area, outdoor grill and sunbeds; the swimming pool and a free parking. All around the house the farm extends, you are welcome to explore it - alone or guided. There’s an olive grove, the vineyard and the woodland. We will be happy to share with you the vegetables and herbs from our garden and the eggs from our chickens. We live upstairs in the same house but we absolutely respect your privacy. At the same time, we are at your disposal whenever you need our help, information about the area or you wish to chat. We are 2 km far from Pian di Scò, it needs 5 minute by car or 25 minute on foot to get there. The village has everything you need: traditional bakeries, butcher shops, mini-market, grocery, ATM, post office, bar and restaurant-pizzeria. Pian di Scò is located around the thousand-year-old Parish Church of S. Maria a Scò along the Resco stream at an altitude of 350 meters. One of the most stunning environments of this area are the yellow ochre crags, called “Le Balze”, sandy and rocky sediment from an ancient lake. The particular nature of these cliffs inspired many artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, who depicted them in the landscape in the background of the Mona Lisa. If you plan to explore Tuscany, you will definitely need a car. In about an hour you will reach Florence as well as Arezzo and Siena. There is also a possibility to get to Florence or Arezzo by train from the main station in Figline Valdarno. Moreover, you can easily reach the picturesque Chianti region with lots of wineries and little villages.
