Modern conversion, original flint cottage with contemporary grand design features both inside and to the rear of the property. Features very comfortable new beds and mattresses throughout all four bedrooms in the main house as well as the self-contained cart-lodge that sleeps a further two people in a king-size bed with ensuite. Stunning views across fields to the west make for spectacular sunsets best viewed from the terrace by the heated pool (June to October) or from two upstairs balconies. Golf Breaks We can organise golf breaks along Suffolk's Heritage Coast. The top courses include Purdis Heath, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. James, our PGA qualified professional, is available to give you coaching from the mat at Cedar House so you can brush up on your skills before heading to the course! Yoga Retreats The tranquil surroundings of the lawn and pool at Cedar House are ideal to get you in the mood for some deep relaxation and exercise. We have professional Yoga and Pilates instructors from StudioFlex available to coach you at your convenience in the mornings and afternoons before you head off to explore the local area! Swimming Pool and Hot Tub The 16 meter pool is super stylish and one of the best we have ever had the pleasure of floating around in, even if we do say so ourselves! It is tiled in deep blue and diamond mosaics which delivers some incredible colours throughout the summer. A separate hot tub next to the pool is heated to 40 degrees! Cycling The East coast of Suffolk is incredibly popular with cyclists due to its extremely picturesque cycling routes along quiet country roads. We can point you in the right direction to enjoy the a fabulous ride that takes in the scenery, coastline and a top quality lunch before heading back to base. General Info There is WiFi and underfloor heating throughout with a separate study area / honesty bar with it’s own music system. The property is located one mile from Woodbridge with its interesting array of shops, bars, restaurants and cinema. Popular destinations such as Shingle Street Beach, Southwold, Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, Orford and Felixstowe are within easy striking distance by car. Sports and games There’s plenty to keep you busy if you like your sports and games, including a large trampoline that has been sunken into the landscape, croquet and badminton on the lawn, table tennis table, darts in the bar, golf tee with flag 125 yards away and extremely popular cycle routes along the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Sound System There is a multi-room sonos music system both inside the property and out on the terrace. Cedar House is exclusively for guests, along with its contemporary Cart Lodge including bar / study area. Parking for up to 15 vehicles. Someone will be available most days to offer advice on the best places to visit. We organise yoga / pilates retreats through StudioFlex, our wellness centre. Please let us know and we can arrange professional coaching for you for some days in the week or every day for the enthusiasts! If golf is your game, you will love to meet James, PGA qualified professional, who can give you a refresher session on swing and course management before you play the Heritage Coast circuit. We recommend Southwold, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Woodbridge, Felixstowe and Purdis Heath golf courses. If you are a golf lover, you will know these are courses worth playing! Whatever your interests are, Suffolk will have something for you to enjoy from award winning restaurants to shopping, beaches, birdwatching, music, fantastic golf courses and watersports! We are just over one mile from Woodbridge, in the countryside and within walking distance of Good Food Guide pubs, the Hasketon Turks Head and the Grundisburgh Dog. Woodbridge, Shingle Street, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Walberswick, Southwold and other picturesque locations with beautiful beaches along Suffolk's heritage coast are all within easy striking distance by car. Woodbridge train station connects to London in an hour and a half. We are located one and a half miles from Woodbridge town centre. London Stansted is one hour away, London Gatwick 1 hour 45 mins, Heathrow 2 hours, Norwich airport 1 hour 15 mins. We are delighted to provide BBQ facilities including the BBQ itself with charcoal and fire-lighting materials. Please let us know in advance so that we can organise the BBQ area for you... just bring your own food! We also supply logs and kindling for the woodburner.
