Isaac's Place - Apartment 2

Apartment 2 is located on the fringe of Neo Karlovasi, just a five minute walk from the towns' main square and retail shopping district. It is approximately 2.5 km from the Port and just 4 km from the famous Potami Beach. It is a spacious apartment with a loft bedroom, with a separate toilet/bathroom and an open kitchen/dining/living space. There is an outdoor setting on a private balcony overlooking the town. The Apartment The bathroom has a shower, toilet and wash basin. 4 rolls of toilet paper will be supplied. Unfortunately due to Greece's bad plumbing toilet paper must not be thrown down the toilet but into a bin provided. Bin liners will also be supplied. A hair dryer is also supplied as well as 4 towels and a bath mat. Please do not take towels to the beach. The master bedroom is located upstairs in the loft. A queen size bed, side tables, wardrobe and air conditioning are in this space. There is also a king single bed at the top of the stairs. The living area downstairs has a sofa bed, dining table and 4 chairs and television. All windows are aluminium, triple glazed and have fly screens. The fly screen leading to the balcony is quite difficult, we recommend to use it only if necessary. A fully equipped kitchen including front load washing machine (instruction manual included) is in this space with balcony doors opening to a large balcony. There is an outdoor setting and umbrella on the balcony with views of the town, and mountains. There is also a shared terrace (with Apartment 3) overlooking the picturesque valley and mountains to the rear of the house where there is seating up to six people. This apartment is on the 1st floor, with a paint store below it. Access to the apartment is predominantly to the rear of the property where parking is directly behind the property. There is a rear (pink) staircase that leads up to the shared terraces black iron gate. The apartment has the number 2 on the door. The apartment is accessible from the front of the property but parking on the main street can be difficult especially during shop trading hours this is why we recommend parking at the rear of the property. Unfortunately I will not be present at this time but contact phone numbers will be provided for guests with any queries to contact throughout their stay Located within a stones throw of Apartment 2 is a large variety of retail shops, cafes, restaurants and take away eateries. Just 20 meters from the front door is a charcoal giros (souvlaki) take away store called BAKXOS (highly recommended). Next door to this is a seafood market where you can order whole fish and they will charcoal cook it for you at lunch and you can arrange pick up, up until 3pm (also highly recommended). 25 meters down the street is a mini market (VKD), a few meters on there is a bakery (Anthemis) with fresh bread and traditional Greek pastries and sweets and further on there is a kiosk ("periptero") which is open nearly around the clock with basic essentials including milk, ice cream, alcohol, cigarettes, phone cards etc. A five minute walk from Apartment 2 will get you to the town centre and square where there are a range of cafes, restaurants and bars. Samos has amazing beaches, archaeological sites and walking trails. It is recommended to hire a car to see the beauty of the island. There will be a KTEL (bus) schedule supplied in the apartment. Out of respect for our neighbours that live here all year round we request that no parties or events are held at the house during your stay. There is a storage cupboard in the loft that will be locked. Smoking is not allowed in the house but ashtrays are provided for the guests to smoke on the balcony or shared terrace. There will be a basic first aid pack and information fact sheet provided. Instructions on the use of the oven/cooker, hot water and washing machined will also be provided. A starter pack of coffee, tea, sugar, milk (evaporated) salt, pepper, herbs and olive oil will also be supplied. The apartment will have new furniture from July on wards with new photos published at this time.
