For those who want to cook in, the local butchers (Slatters) has an excellent reputation and Cafe de la Post is a village shop selling newspapers, breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas. Stable cottage has a vast selection of maps and guides of the local area and beyond. Lovely walks on public footpaths around the village. A car is the easiest way to explore the Cotswolds but local buses are available too. Charlbury train station is less than three miles away.
