A privately owned holiday home/static caravan on multi award winning holiday park. Ladram Bay is close to the village of Otterton in east Devon and 30mins drive from the M5 at Exeter. This stylish open plan holiday home has good sized private outside space and parking for one vehicle. Situated on a corner plot providing a good degree of privacy. It is just 4 mins walk to the sheltered private beach, the South-west coast path and glorious world heritage coast This 2016 static caravan has an open plan sitting/dining area with free standing table and seating for 4. There is a TV/DVD/Freeview, also DVDs and books, maps, games and some visitor info. There are 2 bedrooms with built in wardrobes, the main bedroom has room for a travel cot (can be supplied on request). The kitchen has a gas oven/hob, full size fridge/freezer, microwave, and is fully equipped. There is a good size shower and a separate WC. Quilts and pillows are provided. Post Covid19 I am now doing enhanced cleaning including soft furnishings. I will be washing/ changing mattress and pillow covers between guests, however linen will not now be supplied apart from a bath mat and hand towel, so please bring your own duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases and towels. Cleaning materials for bathroom and kitchen supplied, toilet paper and kitchen roll supplied, there is a hoover in bedroom cupboard. The van is strictly NON SMOKING. Well behaved canines or other pet will be allowed but not on furniture please. PLEASE note internet reception is poor at Ladram. Ladram Wifi passes can be obtained via reception however it is expensive ( approx £20 per week) . The large veranda is gated and has patio furniture, there is a small private patio area to one side with 3 steps up to the veranda (gated) and front door. There is a private parking space for one vehicle next to the caravan. The camp site has very good facilities for families, and outside of school holidays for people looking for a relaxing beach, walking or cycling holiday. There is a pub/restaurant on site as well as indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and climbing wall, mini golf. Charges apply for pool and climbing wall, passes can be bought from reception for the pool. At present post Covid19 reopening the pool, sauna, gym and indoor soft play areas are closed. Some free, as well as some charged supervised children's activities take place during the week (peak periods/school holidays). A nightly entertainment program is free for all residents of the park during peak season (school holidays and summer). At present post Covid 19 reopening entertainment may be held outdoors weather permitting to enable better social distancing. On site there is a useful shop, a cash point machine, a restaurant and pub, a fish and chip takeaway, as well as a beach café and pool cafe. Boats, canoes and paddle boards can be hired from the beach. For dog owners there is a dog walking field behind the Three Rocks and adjacent to coast path which runs through the park. There are also a number of smaller footpaths on site useful for short dog walks. Dogs should be on leads unless in one of the areas noted above. Dog bins are provided around the park. Dogs are not allowed on the beach but can be on the beach cafe deck and outside decking of Three Rocks. New post Covid19 procedures will include being sent a code for the key safe which is attached to the balustrade at base of steps up to the decking/ front door. This is to reduce numbers of folk going into reception. The number for reception and for the maintenance team will be in the unit if required for emergencies. Guests will also have my mobile number. Scenic walks along the coast path to Sidmouth, Otterton, Budleigh Salterton. Exeter and M5 about 25mins drive, Dartmoor National Park about I hour drive. Boat trips along Jurassic coast can be taken from Exmouth 30mins car drive. The Donkey Sanctuary is nearby and always popular with kids as well as adults, Escot near Honiton is a great place for family day out as is Crealy Adventure Park near Exeter. There is also a Jurassic coast centre at Seaton which often has children's events and activities. Pecorama at Beer is also a great kids place. Some info will be in the van about these places. Neighbouring Bicton Gardens has a miniature steam railway for rides around the extensive grounds. For keen bird watchers the cliffs and fields along the coast are home to many species and nearby Otter and Axe estuaries are particularly species rich. A tramway runs from Seaton through one of the nature reserves alongside the river Axe. Otter and beaver now inhabit the Otter river, morning walkers have spotted them occasionally. Lyme bay of which Ladram is a small part is home to a pod of dolphin which have on occasion been spotted in Ladram Bay. Whilst a car is useful if you wish to visit local towns and tourist attractions. It is perfectly possible to spend the week within the immediate area and leave the car parked up. A 30 min walk into the village of Otterton can gain you access to the local bus service. A very regular service runs between Exmouth and Sidmouth and stops in the village. Reception has the bus timetable and there is also a copy on the door of the linen store. Boat trips along the coast are available via Stuart lines at Exmouth and I highly recommend doing this. The private patio area provides a potential space for parking bicycles if you are doing a cycling holiday. In line with government advice various procedures and changes have in put in place for reopening in 2020/2021. These include Pre booking of tables in the restaurant advised. card only payments preferred. Units will all have key safes. For initial period some indoor communal spaces such as pool, soft play area, sauna and gym will be closed. Weather permitting the entertainment team will be performing outdoors in the evening. Enhanced cleaning, provision of hand gel etc. Ladram App being developed which you can download on arrival and will enable booking restaurant table, details on entertainment etc. PLEASE NOTE. If you become unwell with a possible Covid19 infection, You should follow government advise and self isolate with your family at your permanent residence. In other words travel home and seek testing there.
