Barvrack House is a home from home which is available for a minimum of 4 nights. There are 3 bedrooms in total, both double bedrooms (one ensuite with a walk in shower) are (Website hidden by Airbnb) second double bedroom is next door to the family bathroom. The twin bedroom is on the ground floor next to a toilet. The house is set within an acre of garden with many mature trees and shrubs offering plenty of space for children to run around. There is also a small stream running through the garden. Barvrack offers an acre of mature garden and is the most relaxing and tranquil place you could imagine. Surrounded by farmland and nestled in the Scottish hills, you'll find majestic views across Loch Fyne that take your breath away. Less than 2 miles is the village of Inveraray where you can explore the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll, Inveraray Castle. Open from Easter to October, it is well worth a visit. The house has a large kitchen/diner with an Aga.There is access to the garden and picnic table from the kitchen door where you can enjoy meals and a glass of wine soaking up the views over Loch Fyne. The lounge has picture windows overlooking the loch and a woodburner with a free supply of logs and kindling.There is an extensive DVD library for your entertainment. A beautiful comfortable family home set within an acre of well maintained garden. There is plenty of room for parking. There are steps into the house from all 3 external doors. We would endeavour to meet you at Barvrack to say hello and show you round however, if that is not possible, there is a key safe to allow access to the house. We aim to meet guests (depending on arrival time) to acquaint you with the house. If this is not possible, the key safe is positioned on the log shed to allow guests access to the properrty. The scenery is second to none and the wildlife/birdlife is rich and varied. In just over two hours, you can be in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, Scotland's capital. Rich is history and architecture, this city is a must see. The larger city of Glssgow is 1.5 hours drive (or take a 45minute train journey from Helensburgh) Known for its warm and friendly locals, you'll find the best shopping in Scotland and excellent restaurants to chose from. A car would be advisable for travelling round Scotland. From Barvrack, there are many amazing places to visit within an hours (Website hidden by Airbnb) Conan's Kirk in Loch Awe is 30 minutes away. The coastal town of Oban is only 55 minutes. From Oban, you can take a short ferry trip to the beautiful island of Mull where you can continue your onward journey to the tiny island of Iona. Join the 130,000 visitors each year to sail to Iona and visit Iona Abbey as well as many other places of interest. Head in the direction of Fort William and catch the steam train The Jacobite. This majestic engine will take you all the way up to the beautiful coastal town of Mallaig where you can sample a delicious lunch before heading back.Crossing the Glenfinnan viaduct (made famous by the Harry Potter film) you will soak up the stunning Scottish scenery in this 84 mile round trip.
