Our award winning little green hut, built to our own design by master craftsmen, offers a unique & romantic place to escape every day life, to help you relax & unwind. It really is all in the detail - a locally sourced & homemade breakfast hamper is included in your stay, ready when you arrive with some little extras, it is there when you're ready to enjoy, in bed or outside enjoying the views over the historic village below or hills above. Accessed via oak steps, you will find a full sized double bed, vintage table & chairs, electric heater, wood burner + initial supplies (note: the hut is insulated with sheeps wool to keep you warm on a chilly day & cool on a warm day), well stocked bookcase with OS map & walking books, games, DAB radio, vintage blankets. We like to dress the hut for the season with homegrown flowers & beautiful bed linen. Don't forget to let us know if you are celebrating a special occasion too for some extra little touches........ Outside there is a picnic table, table/chairs, fire pit/bbq, festoon lights, lanterns, views, peace & quiet! NEW: The Allotment Gin Deck, an elevated treehouse style platform for your own private use, it has table & chairs, festoon lights & views over the fields & village below - the perfect place for breakfast, morning coffee or evening sundowners 🌞 30m away adjacent to the house is your separate private wash/utility room, electric shower, heated towel rail, toilet, sink, kettle & fridge. We provide fresh towels. Hairdryer. Tea/coffee/milk/sugar/crockery & cutlery are all provided for your stay. (note: as we provide a breakfast hamper, there are no cooking facilities at the hut. You will need to bring your own fuel for the bbq) The hut is tucked away under the trees in a quiet corner of our large garden with its own access via a gate overlooking the fields below. We are very aware that your time away is precious, so we do our best to keep out of your way with minimum interruptions. The hut is set down with hedging planted and its own seating area to the rear, a perfect place to watch the sun go down with a glass of wine/beer. If you're lucky you may even hear one of the resident owls. We will be in touch a day or two before your stay with us & look forward to meeting you when you arrive to show you around & help with any bookings/recommendations for places to eat (we even offer lifts where possible) If for any reason we can't be about when you arrive, we will contact you with all the info you'll need to check in. We respect your time away is precious, that you are here to relax & enjoy your night away & because of this, your privacy is our priority. If you need anything during your stay, please just ask, knock at the door, call or text. Eyam is a small Peak District village famous for the Plague. It has a museum, church, pub, village shop, historic Eyam Hall & Courtyard & good cafe/tea rooms. A short walk away are 3 friendly pubs. All offer excellent food, country atmosphere & a warm welcome. If you prefer a takeaway, there is a good fish & chip shop in the neighboring village along with an Indian restaurant & a carribean takeaway just down the road. There are plenty of places to visit while you stay in our little green hut. There are lots of walks & cycle trails straight from our door, no need to use the car. The market town of Bakewell famous for its pudding & tarts, Tideswell famous for its Cathedral of the Peak, beautiful Chatsworth House & gardens, Monsal trail bike hire/rides & the Blue John caves in Castleton. As well as Buxton, Chesterfield & Sheffield only a short drive away. Grindleford & Hathersage stations are aprox 3 miles away. Although there is no Wifi, there is a good phone signal. The only concession to technology in the hut is the DAB radio. Your night away is time to turn off, tune out & reconnect with each other.
