One bedroom self-catering apartment set in 7 acres of grounds. Very comfortable with open-plan lounge, kitchen area and lovely view of the gardens, all set next to a very attractive 18th century water mill. The property is in un-spoilt Somerset countryside on the edge of Ham Hill country park with its lovely walks, cycle trails and views. On the edge of a lovely village with a great shop, cafe & gorgeous pub serving locally sourced food & drink. Converted from old barn that used to feed the 18th century waterwheel and millpond. Steeped in history as there has been a mill on the site since Domesday! Guests have access to all the grounds including the stunning gardens and fields. They can even look around the 18th century mill and ask to see it in operation. We live on site so are generally available to guests during their stay There are lots of activities in the local area including: National Trust and other historic properties; extensive walking trails; nature reserves; public gardens and various museums. There are also some lovely villages and market towns to explore. All guests also have access to our 7 acres of gardens and grounds. There are over 100 detailed leaflets in the accommodation, however, if you have any specific interests or questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. If this is your first time to the area, we particularly recommend trips to some of the following: Montacute, Barrington Court, Forde Abbey, Sherborne Castle, Wells Cathedral and Stourhead. The coast at Lyme Regis is also only 35 minutes away. There is plenty of off-street parking at the property. Three pubs plus the village amenities of Norton Sub-Hamdon are within walking distance
