The Coach House

An 18th Century Coach House which is an annex to the Old Vicarage, restored to a high standard to provide light and spacious first floor accommodation, access is through our ground floor home office. We use white cotton bed linen and towels, Neal's Yard products in the bathroom. New Bath Shower mixer. Heating is underfloor and the Coach House has a south facing aspect. A lovely quiet space with everything you need for a short break in Dorset The Coach House is on a quiet lane on the edge of the village, you can leave the property on foot and immediately find a foot path to Hod and Hambledon Hills or the Dorset Trailway, great for cycling. Guests have there own area in the garden to sit in on a fine day and have breakfast or just to read a book or listen to the birdsong. We have two dogs, Jack Russells Lottie and Lester, someone is always about to help to make your stay a very enjoyable one. North Dorset is great area for exploring the wealth of historic landmarks, including the hill top town of Shaftesbury, Sherborne, Blandford Forum and Wimborne Minster are nearby all with great amenities, the Jurassic coast is only 40 minutes away by car. In the spring Hod and Hambledon Hills which are very close and are managed by the National Trust are covered with Cowslips and rare Orchids, and the summer many rare butterflies. In the spring the local woods are carpeted with Bluebells and Garlic. The X3 Buses run six time a day to Blandford or Shaftesbury and leave from the outside the pub in Stourpaine northbound and opposite shop southbound. Mainline railway stations are Salisbury 40 mins, Gillingham 25 mins, Tisbury 30 mins Stourpaine is a very friendly village , with an excellent pub with restaurant, the village shop and Post Office is part of the pub. There is a church service on Sunday so sometimes the bells will ring. Tennis Courts, where we may be able to arrange for guests to play tennis. The village of Stourpaine is close to Bryanston and Clayesmore Schools
